Just Said Yes October 2019

An inexpensive venue

Courtny, on February 8, 2019 at 1:33 PM Posted in Utah Planning 0 14
Fellow Utah bride to be's. I'm in the just said yes phase and my wedding is only 8 months out. I'm pretty behind on planning I guess since our day is only 8 months away. Looking at and trying to find an inexpensive venue and Utah. Help! Where can I find an indoor / outdoor venue that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.? I always knew weddings were expensive but I never expected to see numbers like this. Call me naive?

Not sure what your venue budget is, but we are goig inexpensive too! We found LOULAND FALLS which is nestled between salt lake and park city! Check it out, its not super over priced! I think its costing us about $8k for venue, catering and service

Thank you so much. I guess I should have shared that! We're doing 5,000 for the whole wedding! We are thinking 1,000 or less for the venue itself.

I'm booked at the Bright Building, it's 1500 for a weekend, 1300 for a week day!

It used to be an old car shop so it's got a big silver garage door on one side that can help it feel indoors/outdoors. It also includes all the chairs, the tables, an arch way. and the venue itself just has such an aesthetic, decorating can stay pretty minimal!

    I'd highly recommend.

Hey Courtny! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

It's wild how expensive venues can be! Have you looked around on our venues tab yet? You can filter by type of venue as well as location! I would see the outdoor types of venues like parks and event halls, they always seem to be cheaper!

The alumni building at Weber State in Ogden has indoor and outdoor depending on when your wedding date is. I’ve also found a lot of places in the Layton/Clearfield area that are nice.

We are getting married at the Startup Building! We chose a Wednesday so that the price would be even less. The building itself is amazing! But they have just redone their courtyard and it’s awesome! Our wedding is also a 5k budget. I recommend you just even virtually your their venue on their website!

We decided to do a campground wedding and not pay all of the rediculous venue fees. Its a cute little campground in southern utah that has many memories for my fiance. Its also where we had our first adventure together when we were teenagers.

I alway thought Ivy House wasn't super expensive as compared to other places.

I don't know any Utah specific venues but check into the local parks. A lot of them offer venues on the premises that they rent for gatherings and don't charge extra for "weddings" like most places do. We found our dream venue in one of our local parks for $100/hour! Tables and chairs included.

We are getting married at Weber State University Lindquist Alumni Hall in Ogden.
FH is an alumnus twice over but the venue for wedding and reception is $1500. We are getting married in October and only having a ceremony and it’s $500 before his discount.

Do you mind me asking where in Southern Utah? I am looking at outdoor places in southern Utah for our September wedding. We want red rocks, but I’m unsure of all the rules or can we just find a random bit of public land and have a ceremony

Our wedding is 90 miles south of moab. There arent many red rocks around, but if you want red rocks I recomend Moab. Any BLM campground is like $150 for the day which is extremely inexpensive for a gorgeous out door wedding. You can do a wedding at Arches National Park for $185.
