Analysis Paralysis

Blissful, on May 12, 2014 at 5:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

I can't seem to make a decision. I second guess everything. Does anyone else have this problem?? I am not normally like this and it's driving me crazy!!

What have you second guessed or had a hard time deciding on?

Yes, everything always. I just got to the point where I had to force myself just to pick something. It would drive me crazy and I would cost analyze everything. I am also a perfectionist which doesn't help. I have been doing really well in the IDGAF department because it isn't worth the stress and no one will notice if something isn't perfect.

I second guessed a lot of things way back in the beginning, but now I'm like "fuck it, it'll be great no matter what."

I am usually the most decisive person on earth. I'll take half a second, weigh the options, pick one, and never look back.

So I feel like a total nut job thinking about my guest book. Do I want the tartan one with the leather that is a ridiculous waste of money? Or do I want the "guest book alternative" where they sign a tree poster and I hang it on the wall, even though I HATE TRENDY CRAP? Or do I just shut up and not have a guest book?

Why am I even thinking about this? Why am I stressing about this? I don't even CARE! LOL

I am THE MOST indecisive person ever. It sucks and I'm lucky my FH is tolerant. Go with your gut instincts because it's normally correct.

This is funny because I am normally a VERY indecisive person, always has been. When I was 7, I spent 2 hours trying to decide on my first pair glasses. When I was in college, I spent an hour and a half deciding on a pet betta fish. Ridiculous.

But for the wedding, I've been crazy on point and a freaking decision guru! Dress, selected with no hesitation. Custom invitations took no time to design. Colors, flowers, etc decided with conviction! I don't understand how this is possible, but I'm running with it as long as I can!

I'm having the hardest time finding a hairpiece, I look at so many and they are all awesome but I can't make a decision. I had a hard time with shoes until I actually went and looked in person, I think the internet is making it harder for me.

Yeah I'm always unsure, I feel like half my posts on here have been asking for people's votes for one shoe versus another or similar. This past weekend I went for my first fitting and they said with store credit I could order a flower, she showed me a catalog and I had to pick from the catalog. I was dying not being able to get opinions on here of what other people like!

Definitely feel that way. Hence why we've been engaged for 7 months and only have a tentative date set. Nothing else - no venue booked (although that can't be done until September anyway), no dress, no flowers, etc. But my Pinterest album keeps growing. Lol
