And so it begins....my upcycled veil

My appliques arrived today! Took 3 weeks but I love them even more in person! They are even prettier in person, my pic doesn't do the colour justice. I'm adding 3d flowers and beading to my mom's 50 year old mantilla lace veil to go along with my lavender wedding gown. I started a little work cutting the appliques apart and placing individual pieces where I think they will look best. Just pinning them for now until I'm completely happy! My FH came home before I really could get heavily involved so it's hidden away again til tomorrow. It's been a tough few weeks for my personally (nothing to do with my FH, we are closer than ever), but the package arriving today has added a happy perk!
