Anemones in bouquet?

Pam, on February 24, 2017 at 8:35 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

Hi,

So I was planning on having anemones and white roses as my bouquets. I'm going to get my flowers in bulk online, has anyone used anemones for flowers and how did they turn out? I'm worried that they will be too fragile for the bouquets.

I had to google this because I had only heard of the sea creature before. I'm so glad I did; those flowers are gorgeous and I think they will look lovely with roses.

ETA are you purchasing real or fake flowers? I'm assuming from your question that you are DIY your bouquets.

I'm doing those with peonies, dahlias, rannaculus and lots of greenery...can't wait to see it! It's all in ivory and blush. Didn't even think about them being delicate so hope that's not an issue!

Anemones need a bit more careful handling than sturdier flowers like roses, but they'll look gorgeous in your bouquet!

We're doing anemones, but we'll be going with silk flowers. I assume since you're worried about the fragility, you are using fresh flowers? This is our inspiration pic.

I did a styled engagement shoot and the bouquet had colored anemones. They were stunning! We shot for 4+ hours outside in south Texas and they held up through the whole thing Smiley smile

I have read that anemones are quite fragile, but they're beautiful so they're worth it!

I had to look these up as well because I thought you meant a sea anemone haha. They are so beautiful! I'm not a flower guru, but just by googling them I saw quite a few photos of them being used in bouquets. They look gorgeous with white roses!

I LOVE anemones! I had originally wanted poppies, but they would have been difficult to guarantee in the color I wanted (red) and are very fragile. My bouquet is going to be all red anemones and the bridesmaids are going to have red anemone, hydrangea, and I think white anemone...this is my bouquet inspiration.

They're beautiful but they are fragile. Weirdly enough, I had a weekend last year where the same florist did all four of my weddings and each one had the white //black ones! By the last wedding, I was like, "Oh, it's Anna Rose again", lol!
