We're going to try to do it but I wouldn't be upset if it didn't happen.

Ditch. We have no plans to do this. I've heard no matter how carefully you store it, it's terrible. Also, I don't want a tier of cake in my freezer for a year, lol.

Yuck, I am a baker and I always give my customers a fresh 6" anniversary cake that matches the one at their wedding, it's part of their package.

Yall need to get them at ur local bakery. I always use Publix or Ingles. They make the best. Maybe go to a cake Tasting for different flavors so you can enjoy.

You will be surprised. This is my 2nd Wedding in 18 yrs. We took the top and wrapped it in wax paper and then plastic wrap then foil. 1 yr Anniversary we took it out and it was Delicious as the day we got married.

Passing on stale cake. We figured we could always buy a small cake for the occasion when it comes.

No, our only "cake" will be one small tier for the cake cutting. After that, there won't be anything left to save. We'll probably get a completely fresh cake for our anniversary. No stale cake.

Oh, I will absolutely do a cake tasting or 2.... because I freaking love cake xD. But we’re not going to buy any. I’m making cupcakes cause I can make the 120 I’d need for under $100, and I enjoy baking Smiley smile

Ditch. We're not even having a wedding cake, but doing 2 giant french macaron towers instead. Macarons can be frozen, but not for that long.

Oh heck no!!! Fiance and I try to eat mainly freshly baked goods. This wouldn't work for us. Stale cake: no!

We didn’t keep our cake to eat on our anniversary. However we did get a small cake in the same flavors and from the same bakery as our wedding cake. It was delicious.

Doing, although against my will. My ILs absolutely INSISTED on taking the top tier and preserving it for us. Apparently MIL found instructions online and followed them to the letter. So, we’ll see what it’s like in November.
