    I only posted my engagement and that picture of "I said yes to the dress" on FB, IG & SC.

    I don't think I would put a date but I have put a hashtag like #SummerWeddingApproaching for when I found my dress.

    I will not be putting my actual date though.

    Don't announce it on FB - it can be considered rude as it is akin to talking about your wedding with those who are not invited, which is what you are doing. I was silent on FB and the next day I posted a pic of us, saying Mr/Mrs! That was it.

    I changed my status to engaged and that was it. I also asked people not to post our wedding on their FB pages until we did so ourselves - it is our news to share.
