So our ceremony is an hour away from our reception location. Our ceremony will be at 4:30 and we get the reception venue starting at 5. The reception venue said they would set up decorations for us that we can drop off before hand. I'm having some anxiety about the decorations and cake not being set up before guests start getting there. A day of coordinator isn't in the budget so we have to rely on the venue staff.
Can someone please just let me know that it will be ok and that everything doesn't have to be perfect? I really just want some reassurance. Honestly, we won't know if everything isn't set up perfectly in time, but I still worry.
I should also note that our wedding will be small (30-40 people) that are all close friends and family so I don't think they will really mind. There will be hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and we plan to set out a few games for people to play. This will not be a formal event. We just want to have a fun gathering with our people.
This wasn't really a question, but any words of wisdom or encouragement would be greatly appreciated!
