Any 2/21/21 Brides?

Rachel, on September 28, 2020 at 7:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Are you feeling confident in your date. Or are u afraid u might have to change it? I’m terrified because my venue wont know if they are going to be open until November 15th. & I refuse to cut my guest list down & i would be heartbroken if i have to change my date.this date means alot to me.tenor.gif

My big wedding isn’t until March 2021 but right now I’m not worried at all. I feel like it’ll still be able to happen with some restrictions of course.

But my venue said I don’t have to make a decision until February so that’s good

Our date is September and I’m trying not to be nervous. We are asking vendors questions just in case though! Either way I know it’ll be special 💓

I’ve moved my wedding twice now. My original was 5/1/20 then 9/5/20 and now 2/13/20. I have a 200 person guest list and we are prepared to make cuts if needed. Our venue reopened as of 2 days ago. I think we will be good for our date, but it won’t be the same wedding we would have had. However, I feel like we’ve been living in limbo for so long at this point. So, we are having our wedding in February, no matter what lol

Our date is feb 6th but we're going to push forward no matter what. We'd hate to have to continue postponing because no one knows if or when this will be over. I know a lot of people are also eloping/having a micro wedding and then hosting a celebration reception or renewal later on.

My wedding is a week before yours, and I was having those panicked thoughts in my head. I finally had the balls to contact my venue and asked them on what the best course of action would be for my wedding, and they just said, "Well we'll have an answer by mid-October, so message us then!" I'm hoping that I'm at least able to host my wedding with at least 100 people or so.

As a former 10/10/20 bride who postponed a full year to 10/30/21, my advice is to be prepared instead of being terrified. We postponed back in June when covid was still fairly new. But now that virus has been around for months, it’s not a secret or a surprise. So don’t let time pass without, at least, thinking of Plan B actions and communicating with your vendors. That way you’re not stressfully scrambling at the last minute in February. I say this especially in your case because your venue isn’t even open yet until (hopefully) mid-November. So you’re at a total standstill right now. We were in a similar situation because we’re having a destination wedding in Vegas and for a long time, the city and hotels on the strip were closed. So I had no one to contact for updates. When the hotel finally reopened, it was still with a limited event staff and they weren’t holding weddings yet. So, that (among other things) solidified our decision to simply postpone. However, since your date is meaningful, you can totally still get married that day so that your anniversaries fall on 2/21 each year. But the main thing that I would avoid right now is being unprepared.

Lol Ny is only allowing 50 ppl.& my venue is closed until they get the say so. They gave me the option to do a 50 ppl reception at their restaurant. But I refuse. I waited 12 years for this.

Yeah I definitely get it. Especially when you don't have any answers it can get a little annoying.
