Any brides doing their own makeup?

I did my own! I used Ardell Forever Lipstain as the base for my lipstick, then a l'oreal stain on top of it. The l'oreal one only lasted a few hours, but the Ardell was was still decently dark 24 hours later. I used Kiss false lashes with black adhesive.

As long as you're comfortable doing your own makeup then just practice a couple looks before the big day to see what you like. And I recommend using products you typically use. If you try something new that day you make have a reaction to it and you do not want that.

I did my own for my adventure shoot. You'll want to go a little heavier-handed so your features aren't washed out by the camera. I bought a few extra products ahead of time (skin primer, high quality foundation), but mostly used what I had in my makeup bag.

Best thing to do is your own little trial runs. Get a good primer and moisturizer.



This is a step by step way to apply make up that I find works for me. I always use black eyeliner with my brown eyes, but for my wedding I intend to do a brown or a brown/black. I use the e.l.f primer in the white bottle. It goes on smooth and feels great afterwards, not too heavy. I use a beauty blender to apply my foundation and I use a stick concealer under my eyes. This is how I do it ⬇️ All you really need is three dots at each point in the picture. And then blen in a swooping motion under the eye and try to get as close to your water line as possible.

Practice, Practice, Practice! I am doing my own makeup just because I have had horrible past experiences for prom, homecoming, etc... with other people doing my makeup. FH likes when I do it myself for a more natural look. Do whatever makes you feel comfy, but also practice different looks or just doing the makeup in general!
