Our wedding date is Nov 12, 2023 because it's on a Sunday we're saving between 2-5k. My Dad's birthday is Nov 23, 11+12=23 and the year is 2023 so it was a numbers thing for me. The ceremony will be at my Dad's church so we're saving a couple coins there. My colors are mauve, rose gold, black &...

My colors are mauve, rose gold, black & cream, I bought my dress in September 2021, I've got my venue booked and it's literally a one stop shop. They're doing the decorating, cake, catering, dj, parking lot and bathroom attendants are also included, it's the whole 9 yards. I'm looking at makeup artist options, I've got the bridesmaids dresses picked out, and Dollar Tree has super cute stuff lol. I'm a tad nervous about a November date because of Thanksgiving but at the same time I'm not. Any wedding date twins out there?? How is your planning going and where are you at in the process?

Hey girl! It's actually been going really well! We've gotten a lot done, right now we're working on asking our wedding party to stand up with us. How about you?!

Btw, those Amazon knock off Loeffler Randal heals absolutely sound like a plastic bag when you walk but after wearing them a few times it went away 🤣 they're pretty cute though, I'll send a pic later!

🤣🤣🤣 not a plastic bag!? I can't 🤣. I'm stressing 😫 and maybe it's because I want to get lots of stuff done now or whatever Idk but getting frustrated with my bridesmaids because they're just not that into "all this" and EVERYONE keeps saying that I have time 😒 when I'm like y'all it's already July time is flying! The lace fabric I ordered for my gown was all wrong to put it mildly and this is after waiting 6 months for it to arrive so literally nothing can be done to my gown until we/I find something new.

Yea I get that sentiment about trying to get stuff done now, we do have a lot of time but it definitely goes by super quick! I'm sorry your bridesmaidsv aren't feeling it right now, I hope once things start getting closer they come around. What are you guys working on right now? Anything I can do from afar to help?

Have you called the designer to see if they can do anything? I would be PISSED, those dresses are expensive!!

Honestly too, if it makes you feel any better I was doing some diy projects pretty early in the process and now I want to do a lot differently so I ended up wasting a lot of time, money and effort. I was very much in the same mind set of "ok let's do everything now so we aren't stressing later" which still holds true (especially for vendors), but details like that I feel like can wait unt you have a clear set vision. I would say if you're DIYing your save the dates and invites, that's something you can definitely focus on early since that's going to take up a lot of time

Awww I appreciate your offer girl! I need these bridesmaids to send a pic of themselves in 1 color & plain bkgrnd because another bridesmaids is custom making my B.shower weekend invites and these ppl are being difficult 😑. I just finished adding some feather trim to my "Bride" robe that I got on Amazon for $7! I wanted one for getting ready and pics the day of but these sellers are crazy with the pricing! I'll post a b4 & after in a bit. You're right about having that clear set vision though. We're also looking invitation suites just to see what we like and don't like as we plan to order them in November or December this year since they're also custom and coming from Poland, (found em on Etsy). As far as my dress..... 😮‍💨 The fabric I wanted was from the Dakota dress by Kitty Chen the seamstress and manager of the bridal shop spoke with her. The designer sent the fabric WITHOUT the beading. And then wanted to basically charge me the amount of a full dress for just the lace with the beading because it's hand beaded.. it's been a frustrating mess. So now I'm stuck having to find new lace with beading that's comparable to my 1st choice. The shop manager, and my seamstress are both looking for me.
