Any experience with Sams Club or Costco flowers?

Lauren, on July 22, 2014 at 12:58 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 22

Has anyone ordered their flowers from Sams Club or Costco? I'm thinking of ordering a wedding back of flowers already put together, and bulk flowers for the centerpieces. If you've done it, how did they look?

Yes, I got ALL my flowers from Sam's Club and they were beautiful! That's exactly what I did. I ordered a collection with bridesmaid bouquets, a toss bouquet, bouts, corsages, and petals. Then I ordered some bulk bouquets (some white and some yellow) and put together my own center pieces. All in all I spent like $700.00 on it all. It sure beats paying a florist!

Thank you and you're very welcome! The flowers all came right on time with very detailed instructions on how to cut them, store them and keep them until your day. I would HIGHLY recommend getting them from Sam's club.

My DH's cousin had her wedding and all she had was baby breath for the tables and bouquets and corsages and bouts and she spent over $2000.00 on it. I got all these flowers for $700.00. We had about 16-20 centerpieces. We had more than enough flowers, that's for sure.

I had planned on buying baby's breath in bulk from them for ceremony decoration and centerpieces. And buying my bouquets from a florist. I might have to get everything from them now.

I'll let you know in 40 days! I ordered mine from Costco. They have reviews online that could help.

For the ladies planning on doing this, will you PLEASE please make a special post after the wedding about your experience doing DIY florals?? I've done so many searches on this topic and 98% of the threads are only asking if anyone has done it, with very little details about the actual process! I'll definitely do the same when my wedding rolls around.

I did it! Half of my flowers were from Costco (the other half from Fiftyflowers) and they were wonderful!

@Future Mrs. Crowell, I've posted before about my process, here are the links. (Note - my responses are all in the comments, and are several comments long so be sure to read all the way through).

This post has some pics and I talk about time/care instructions (in comments): https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/fifty-flowers/f75ac676727b62fb.html

In this post I talk about the price/how many flowers I got, an some of the prep work: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/preview-pro-pics/053afd3efa2322c1.html

Thanks ladies! I just feel like the more info there is out there, the more there is to learn from, you know?

@Jules - this is actually funny because I added that part to my watchlist because of your posts!

I ordered from sams! I ordered about 100 hydrangeas (mostly light pink and a small batch of white) for under $400. I made 17 centerpieces, 6 bouquets and some extras just to decorate all over. I bought a bouquet of baby's breath at the grocery store the day before the wedding for $12 for bouttainaires and filler and whatnot. They were beautiful and I still have a few from centerpieces decorating my house... And my wedding was a week and a half ago! Just be sure to follow the care directions and be prepared to do a little work!

We did Costco and found a florist friend to actually make the arrangements but they were so beautiful and we were able to have red roses on Valentineʻs Day. Let me know if you want our invoice for pricing.

Keep in mind this was Valentineʻs Day weekend so the bunches were smaller to make up for the prices BUT a good gauge of what we got

None of only the bouquet but lots of me holding it. It was white roses mixed with Costcoʻs "spring bunch"

Thank you for sharing the links! I didn't think about the fact that they need to be kept somewhere cool...both FH and I have condos, and my parents' garage is street level so it's always hot. I might have to go the florist route ugh

Thanks for posting this question! I will be ordering flowers from SAMs in September. The reviews are all awesome but I was still a little nervous about it.

As far as the process, we ordered 10 white mixed flowers bouquets and 8 yellow mixed flowers bouquets and we just took them apart and put together a new bouquet into a ball jar. We cut the stems at different lengths so that we had a full looking centerpiece. We had some big jars on the mantle behind the head table and we made bouquets for those too. We cut some small branches off of bushes and included them into the centerpieces to add to the look.
