Any fair skinned brides- white or ivory?

I found the dress I like but I can't decide between white & ivory. I really like the ivory but the sales person thought it made me looked washed out. I tried on a different dress in ivory & didn't think it had the wow factor. I really want to order the white, but I don't want to look washed out...

Are there any fair skinned brides that have pictures in a white dress?

I'm very fair skinned and white looks dreadful on me. Ivory looks a lot better, but nothing too 'skin coloured' like blush or champagne as it starts looking too similar to my own skin colour.

I think what colour suits you also depends on whether your skin has warm or cool undertones. I'm pale but my skin has a warmish yellowish tinge to it, therefore ivory suits me as it's a warm colour.

It depends on the undertone of your fair skin. I am very pale but can tan if I choose to. I look way better in white than ivory. I thought I would look better in ivory, but was really happy with the diamond white instead.

I think it depends on you...I went into dress shopping expecting to get ivory because I'm so pale. But the ivory dresses just didn't look right on me. I ended up with a white dress, and I feel like it actually makes my skin stand out better!

I went ivory, it still was just the best of two evils. white makes my skin look reddish and ivory makes me look yellow. no winning lol

This pic is from my bridal portraits. I was quite tan when I purchased the dress, but had lost all my tan by the time my portraits were taken. It still looked pretty with my pale skin. My dress was stark white. Ivory did nothing for me, I actually blended in with the dress even with a tan.

Look in your closet. Do you have more white or ivory blouses/shirts? Which color do you normally look best in?

I know white is not the best for me. My gown was vintage and probably was whiter when new, but was a gorgeous light ivory/off white when I bought it.
