We DO have a plan B reserved with all of our vendors and our venue so we just made up a little insert for our invites cfb_1390219.jpg

Any other June brides still gunning for it?

Our wedding was supposed to be June 7th but we decided to cancel, have a small ceremony with family and then have a huge celebration next year without the stress of the pandemic

Steal away...we stole the idea as well...just seemed like the best way to hold out/make the most educated decision while still being realistic haha

I too am in the Hoosier state...planned to get married at Brown County State Park but the lodge is closed and I haven't been able to get ahold of them, and starting to worry ...just got notification that state Park events are postponed through may 31. I sure hope we'll all be clear by your date and mine (10.3.20)!

Hi my date is June 28th and out wedding is going to be with 15 people and it's in Michigan and we are still going to continue with our wedding but if Michigan isn't going to reopen before June 28th then the venue said I could pick a different date but the venue is very certain everything will open back up by then. I hope all goes well for the both of us and any other people that may be experiencing this pronlem. Just have faith and the good Lord will bless us remember he doesn't dish us what we can't handle. 🙏🙏🙏

Our wedding was supposed to be June 27th and we just moved it to June 19 2021 this week. I couldn't handle the stress of not knowing anymore.

Since most of our guests are local we are trying to hold on as long as possible. Our venue will let us know if we can still have the wedding there on the original day (6/6/20) after the 1st of May when things start opening up a little more. My whole thing is that I have waited 10 years for this day and I really don't want to postpone or cancel unless its absolutely necessary. We are even willing to just have immediate family at the ceremony and live stream it for he rest of the guests.

I was starting to feel crazy for having any hope! We called the priest marrying us today and he said he really feels that 6/27 will be ok but that we will work it out regardless...and he is currently COVID positive 😳

Ours are as well. My FIL’s are about 3hrs away but it’s an easy drive. Very few requiring a flight in town! Wishing you the best!

That’s crazy. Our venue doesn’t seem too confident. But we’re holding on. We have June 11, 2021 reserved for everything but are thinking of still getting married this year (in the church if we can) prior to next year. We’ll see. Fingers crossed

That's an awesome idea. We are still on so far.... Our vendor/Resort has already canceled our original date... we are now six weeks out and they have started to open things up in South Carolina and Georgia and I hope we do go backwards with the next six weeks...

Congratulation to you on your big day!

Our date was June 6. We moved it to the same day next year. We plan to marry this year but we will elope and do a local honeymoon and wedding shoot in another dress, since we don’t want to risk a second wave impacting us.

Our wedding date was 6/26/2020 and we just made the decision to postpone to next year, since we have a lot of out of town guests. We also realized that many of our guests would be anxious about getting sick during our ceremony and reception if we planned for our original date, which is not how we want to remember our wedding day. What my future sister in law reminded us of today is that the most important thing is our love for each other and that we are committing to each other through getting married and beginning our new lives as newlyweds. We are in this together! My thoughts are will all the couples having to make these hard decisions.

We were originally 6/12/20. We are getting married in an intimate ceremony on our date, but have pushed our big wedding celebration back to July 2021. We're going to have a wedding-like ceremony in front of our guests (because that is very important to us) followed by our reception. Like many of the other people have said in this thread, just doesn't feel like it would be possible to have the big, beautiful day we had planned next month. Sad, but we're excited now that new plans have been cemented!
