I’m also getting married 2-29-20! We plan on taking a big vacation every 4 years to celebrate. It’s coming up so fast! Seems like just yesterday I was like “I have plenty of time to plan everything in 1 year” as I’m still checking things off my list.

I got married on Feb 29, 1992. We celebrate our anniversary different than most. In 2020, we say that we will be married 28 years and it will be out 7th anniversary. We only count the anniversaries the years that has Feb 29. To my husband and I, it makes every four years special. For our 7th anniversary, we are taking a cruise.

Just a little note: I do not have anything in my house that has "25th ANNIVERSARY". My husband did get me a plate that says " HAPPY 25 YEARS"

We had thought about that but then we decided on a fall season rather than a winter. Love the creativity!

One reason of picking the date is the the Wednesday after 2:29 that year was Ash Wednesday. The Catholic Church will not marry you during lent so we would have to wait 40 plus days. After a year, 40 plus day was a life time

We picked 2/29/20 also!!! Too bad there’s not a huge ceremony somewhere with all the leap year couples saying I do 😊

My fiancé and I are only celebrating anniversaries on the actual date. We are both saving $25 a week from wedding to first anniversary which will give us $10,000 to take a fabulous anniversary vacation in a warm climate or something else just as awesome!!

We just set the date tonight to get married on February 29th 2020, Leap Day! I'm nervous and extremely happy at the same time. Never I thought I'd join the marriage club.

But anyways, I'm sure it will be something unique to remember and celebrate! Every 4 years with a anniversary trip sounds good to us.
Congratulations to all new weds! ❤ May this year bring you all happiness & wealth!!!

2/4 is the 6th anniversary of our 1st date, so we plan to stop by City Hall to apply for our marriage license before walking over to the restaurant where we first met to celebrate. Management at the restaurant is so sweet. They reserve the same table for us every year.

Then on 2/29/20, we're getting married. And we're so excited for our leap day marriage, because we plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a big way once every 4 years with a trip somewhere around the world. We're considering spending the 1st wedding anniversary (2/29/24) in Greece because our Greek friends and neighbors keep telling us how unlucky it is to get married on Leap Day. Haha! Smiley ring
