Did you try to get a refund, tried to make.it work or just stop working with her ?

My make up trial was a disaster, she made me look like a clown...she agreed to give a refund but now she is not picking up the phone..

I usually hate how everyone does my makeup. I’m kind of a makeup snob so I plan on doing my own. How you you feel about doing your own make up n just getting lash extensions done by someone?

I initially found a mua here on WW and she was very sweet and our chats were great and she assured me she works with women of color and I figured cool because she was a woman of color, but when she gave me the mirror, I stifled a "whodaheckisthat" scream. Long story short, I looked like a clown...lol. Being that I'm one of those people who don't like to hurt feelings, I waited until I got home and utilized my human mirror ( my son), he was polite but asked me why was my face orange and my neck brown and asked if I was feeling well...😂. I waited 24 hrs and sent a polite email thanking the lady and let her know that we might be on different pages but decided to let someone else do my makeup. I'd already paid and tipped her well at the trial. However by recommendation from a friend I did find someone and I was so pretty at the end of the trial, I cried...I knew she was the one. She ended up doing my makeup and hair.

I made the mistake of doing my trial the day of my engagement photos. It did not turn out well AT ALL. When we got the first photos back the next day I burst into tears and had to ask my photographer to edit them again to at least smooth out the foundation line on my neck because it was WAY too dark for my skin, which made them better but I still hate how my makeup looked. I then contacted the salon and they agreed to give me a refund. I definitely found a different makeup artist for the day of the wedding.

I did two trials before booking. The first one wasn't a disaster but the hair and makeup was very basic and I almost felt I could do it at home. I did another with a different stylist and the difference was crazy, I'm so happy I held out!
