Any March 2021 brides worried?

Andriene, on May 12, 2020 at 11:03 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8
Hey y’all,

I don’t know if it’s just me but I AM STRESSING OUT! I just don’t know if I should keep planning or not. I’ve already booked mostly all my vendors. My wedding is already going to be under 100 but now I’m worried that I wouldn’t be able to even have that! I just am not sure what to do! Anyone else in the same boat?

Definitely Keep Planning. You Have Alot Of Time Left Still. You Should Keep Planning So That You Won't End Up Scrambling To Get Things Done Last Minute.

I'm a January 2021 bride, and I'm in a similar boat. I'm getting married in New Orleans, most of my vendors are paid for, and I have approximately 180 guests. The City's reopening guidelines are coming out today. I'm starting to get nervous because I know they will be more restrictive than the State's plan that came out yesterday. Like PP said, try not to worry. You have plenty of time. However, I know that's must easier said than done. Hang in there!

You have almost a year left, a lot can change. Brides that are postponing this year will be trying to book things for next year so I would actually book things faster if possible since there will be more competition. You would be surprised how quickly things book up. I will have a 2 year engagement, getting married in October. And a lot of things I tried to book were already booked over a year out.

I would suggest booking the big things. A lot of brides are already moving things to that timeframe, and I think you're going to have a hard time finding vendors. Just check your contracts and ask about what you should do for plan b's. Best case everything goes as planned - you have a lot of time!

I'm February 2021 and FH and I are planning like normal for now. We are looking at a larger venue but only having about 75 people so if someone wants to take their own precautionary measures there should be room for them to spread out.

FMIL is on imunosupressants for rheumatoid arthritis so we are desperately hoping COVID has calmed down by then. She made me promise that we won't get married without her being there to see it (and that was before COVID was an issue!).

    Hi Andriene,

I agree with the recommendations above. While this is definitely an uncertain time, it seems like plenty of 2021 couples are waiting to make postponement decisions. Of course, everyone's situation is different, so it never hurts to be proactive about plan B!

I would continue to plan as normal and continue communicating with your vendors. Things are changing daily, so keeping the lines of communication open is important. That way, you can make decisions in a timely fashion.

I am definitely worried as well but I have continued planning as if everything will happen as planned. I am sooo happy that I booked my vendors early, because I see that many of them are booking fast due to rescheduled weddings.
