Any May 2020 Brides? How Much Have You Planned Already?

Hi there! We are May 16,2020. We have our venue, dj and officiant. It's getting so real!

May 23rd! I got my Florist, photography, videographer and my wedding planner! My venue is booked and I picked out my wedding dress! I’ve been engaged since April of 2018 I’m so excited!!

Sure, Taylor! We simply made a private event called "Save the Date" and invited all the definite members of our guest list who are on Facebook (those not on Facebook have heard from word of mouth and will get their save the date cards via snail mail soon anyway). We did have to be careful since our guest list isn't finalized yet to obviously only invite the people we are definitely sending an invitation. The few "maybes" we still have can be invited to the event later once we've decided if we're inviting them to the wedding or not.

A lot of people responded "going" to the event already, but we aren't taking that as an official RSVP and will still require them to RSVP through the proper channel later. It's still good info for us to get an initial head count and a better idea of who is serious about attending!

We plan to use the event to also share information leading up to the day. I'm sure it will come in handy later to communicate details. The main reason we decided to set it up is because we have so many people traveling from far away, so they need to make plans earlier than we would be prepared to send out save the date cards. This allows them to at least book flights well in advance.

May 2, 2020 here! We actually have quite a bit done, but my sister is getting married October 2019, so I knew I didn't want to be doing too much planning while we're in crunch time for hers. We've got our venue, caterer, DJ, photographer, hair, bartenders, officiant, and day-of coordinator booked. We're actually having our engagement photo session this weekend, and then my first dress appointment is the following weekend. Then the weekend after that my FMIL is coming into town to help pick a rehearsal dinner venue. I know it's early to pick that, but she's from Vegas and we're in Maryland, so she doesn't get to come out much. I've also started making our table numbers, but that's because I knew they'd take a while (I'm hand embroidering them). Next steps are to find a dress and pick out STDs.

May 2020 here!! We have our venue, I have my dress, we have an officiant and photographer. I'm working on the wedding a little at a time so I don't overwhelm myself and become a bridezilla.

Nice job everyone! I'm also trying to get big ticket items taken care of. Venue is booked and mostly paid for (which includes catering and wedding coordinator, we just need to work on the menu!), we've made our STDs, selected our wedding parties and officiant, booked our photographer, my dress is paid for in full. We're working on selecting a DJ now. FH is still finishing his half of the guest list but mine is done and all addresses have been gathered! So far the planning process hasn't been too stressful, so I'm going to keep trying to knock things out on the early side so we aren't scrambling later.

We're getting married May 15th and so far we've booked venue and I have my gown. Still shopping for photographers and florists.

I started planning soon after getting engaged (October 2018)

-First thing I searched for was a photographer. I didn't want to miss out on a good photographer and have to settle. In January or February we reserved our photographer. Our photo package included my hair and makeup!
-After searching for a dress and not finding something that was me (I'm very picky because I like simple) I decided to go with Anomalie. My dress is paid for and it is expected to arrive in August.
-We booked our venue in March
-We reserved our videographer and DJ in April.

I'm having a good time planning, so fun!

I'm curious-- how many of you are still having your weddings? Mine is scheduled for the 2nd, and I have been resisting pushing it out. What are you guys doing?
