We are! Asheville, October 12th. Our ceremony is outside and our reception is inside/outside. October is so unpredictable. Last year the beginning of October was freezing in Asheville then the end of October was like summer! Hoping for a warm day but most importantly hoping for no rain!!
I'm hoping for outdoor uncovered by the pond at my venue. Thankfully, my venue also has a covered outdoor portion where we can have the ceremony in case of rain. I'm hoping for a dry day! My venue coordinator says we can make that call the morning of the ceremony since the venue has options, which helps to calm my nerves!
Last mid-September, we attended a wedding with an outdoor ceremony and were sweating! So hopefully mid-October won’t be too crazy, but you really never know with our state’s weather. It’s great if your venue does offer the option to switch due to weather changes!
October 5th, Lake Lure. Outside ceremony and reception inside. It's a destination wedding for us and I'm hoping the weather will be like a cool autumn day, fingers crossed.
October 18th, 2018 indoors as well. Church and simple indoor venue as well!! My fiancé wants it indoors and I am cool with that. If you're going outside try a tent company. There some decently priced.
Mine is September 30, so basically October. My ceremony will be outside and we are hoping for the reception to be outside as well. If weather is not permitting, my venue has a couple different back up plans in place for us.
October 18th here. Very small wedding (immediate family only) so if bad weather we can move into the house but currently planning a small ceremony on the beach. Hoping to have a great day as our pictures are planned at Whalehead! Hopefully the weather is great. Good luck to all the October Brides!
I am a pseudo-NC bride haha. I am getting eloped in Hawaii September 25 then having a small formal dinner reception in Raleigh October 13 for just immediate family. The loft has an outdoor patio overlooking the city and I am hoping weather is good so we can spend some of our time outdoors. I was told to continue to plan as if weather will be perfect, but if there is bad weather coming we will have to start planning back-up or moving things indoors. I wanted an extensive lounge area for the patio for my family to hang out, have drinks, and enjoy the city.
