I'm Jan. 25, 2020 and I have a venue, photographer, my Save The Dates ordered, and I'm on to dress shopping in May. Never to early to start especially in high populated areas!

Im getting married Feb 29, 2020. Ive just booked my venue about 2 weeks ago. The venue is pretty all inclusive, so my caterer and dj, and decor is done that way. All I need is my photographer, my florist, cake, and to get my dress. Im hopefully booking thw photpgrapher this month, its a friend of FH and were going to a get together later this month, so figured I would wait until then. The rest can be done sometime next year. So Im good for now lol

My wedding is October 2020... We are currently looking at venues and plan on booking one by June. Around here in East TN that time is really popular because of the mountains. We have 3 venues in line to check out this week.

As far as actual wedding planning goes... I have a rough guest list made ( so i would know approximate number of guests), looking at 2 different color schemes, I already have an idea on what I want for decorations and flowers. We aren't doing anything extravagant. Simple and elegant with classic TN fall decor. I have looked at dresses I have not tried any on yet, i probably will just so i can see what styles i like more. I already have my wedding party figured out. We also have an idea on what kind of food we are going to have and we are having a family friend do DJ....

But we are figuring out everything because its just me and him paying for it since our families aren't able to help. So looking at all this ahead of time and getting ideas, showed us the range we are looking at in total cost for the wedding.

Because the wedding is halfway across the country from my hometown, we set our wedding date out over 2 years in advance to allow time for people to attend.
Our date is 8-8-2020, so we have already reserved the venue because it is a memorable date.
As of right now we are narrowing down a theme. Most likely 50s Sock hop with some Broadway flair (We are ridiculously awesome).
We actually have an engagement photo session tomorrow also.
Because we have extra time, we are taking our time finding the best photographers and DJs for our personalities.

Congratulations! My fiancé and I had to push ours back 7mos. We were going to get married next October, but it’s now May 2020. It’s for the better though. I got a lot done. Calling the church Friday for our date and looking at more venues for Friday! Whooo!

I'm getting married on June 6, 2020. We're currently picking out a venue, and we have our color palette and theme picked already. We have a tentative guest list and bridal party picked out but we're not sending out save the dates or asking maids/men into the party until we have the venue squared away.

Halloween 2020 for me! We’ve booked our ceremony venue and have our reception venue picked out (though we have to wait until 2 years before to book it). More than anything, we’re working on constructing our budget, finding multiple options for all vendors, and working on pinterest boards to get our vision all mapped out. We’re also making a list of potential compromises that will come up (eg. using the venues tables vs renting wood tables), so that later down the line we have a way to compare everything and decide what’s really important to us. glad I’m not the only one planning 2+ years out!

My wedding is October 2020. We have our venue, DJ, and catering. We are working to finalize our photographer and videographer soon. Luckily our venue includes catering, a florist, decor and an officiant. So alot of our wedding planning- at least the big stuff- is done already.

We having a 2020 Autumn Wedding . We have the foundation for the wedding. Like colors, venue, type of wedding , attire, wedding attendees. Type of Cake, food , Ceremony floor plans and decorations. We have paid for the location and got that out of the way . So far we do a little planning then we step back from and to make sure that’s the final choice.

    Hi everyone!

It is nice to see that other people are starting this early too. All my friends that are already married have been like, "you only need like 6 months max" and I am like "O.O". There's going to be a lot of DIY done sections of the wedding though, so the more time, the better in my opinion! :-) The date is aiming for August 2020.

What has been done so far:

Colours and theme have been picked out.

Guest list done, with breakdown of first wave receivers and second wave (and which order) if RSVPs are no's.

Venue research, but no tours or booking. I have read reviews and gotten the capacity of over 40 venues in our area. Have started narrowing down the list with FH. Compiled/made a list of all the questions we need to ask, and am going to start contacting them to accost them with said list. Smiley xd Same for caterers....They get a longer list thanks to my allergies and those in the bridal party.

Making up the bridesmaid proposal boxes (not necessary, but fun!). They are going to be ready to send the second we have the venue booked and a finalized date.

Almost done designing my own Save The Dates, Invitations, RSVPs, Table chart (large sign), and table signs.

Found my hairstylist for the event! I have done two trial runs with Meghan and she nailed it both times versus the other few I tried. It is like she is reading my brain. Still trying to decide on the final hairstyle though it will involve a braid somewhere.

Doing the first attempt at making a veil next week (wish me luck!)

Sorry for the long post! Just excited to chat about this process with people who are in the same boat.
