Any other brides to be suffering from PTSD

Pre-Tie the knot-Sleep-Deprivation

I woke up at 3 am today. What the hell is wrong with me? I hope that after the wedding, I will be able to go to bed at my normal time, and wake up at my normal time--LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. I go to bed and wake up worrying about stupid little details, wanting to make sure everything is PERFECT. BARFFFF!!!!!

LOL - I'm an early riser by nature (4-5 am) but there are days that I am up at 3 because of a detail or 2. Sucks!

I suffered from that for a long time. Good news is that about 2-3 weeks before the wedding you recover from PTSD and it gets replaces with Eff It Syndrome. With EIS, you just don't care anymore. You don't care about the little ribbons on the programs or about who is upset over who they are sitting with. You just say Eff It to everything. Ahhh... it was such a happy place. And it will also give you a chance to recover from PTSD so that the sleep deprivation bags under your eyes can go away Smiley smile

Oh yeah... and when the lack of sleep is turning you into a B on wheels... take a dose of NyQuil. You'll be able to catch up on sleep and your honey will still want to marry you.

    ME TOOOO!

I thought I was going crazy!!! I wake up in the middle of the night all the time. I have to admit, I'm a light sleeper. But I've woken up and thought about wedding details more than I care to admit.

JJ, you're funny. I hope I get EIS too!!!

So, I'm not alone in my addiction to Nyquil? I feel so much better now. I guess I may have to eat my son after all-- He has real PTSD-just coming home from a soul sucking deployment in the middle east, and now he is bogarting my Nyquil. Now that he is of legal drinking age, raiding the liquor cabinet just isn't any fun anymore. DAM kids!!

*Raises hand* So annoyed by it too. I've NEVER had trouble sleeping (even after I'd been laid off of my job), but I just can't shut my brain down right now. FH snores too, so it's been really tough lately. I've slept on the couch for the past 2 nights. Smiley sad We both think it'll settle down after the wedding, but I'm hoping I get to EIS soon! Smiley smile
