Any other brides under 5 ft?

I'm just under 5 ft and my wedding is in 7 months. I haven't even begun to start dress shopping and my biggest concern is not finding a dress that will look right on me because of how short I am. Any other short brides here willing to post your wedding dress photos?

I'm just under 5', still haven't received my dress but it's a ballgown totally don't feel it swallows me. I have big hips and a small waist so they are altering the upper torso and making it shorter.

I'm 5'3" and had no issues. The dresses were long and will need to be hemmed, but I think that's pretty standard. Try on a bunch of different styles and choose the one you feel most beautiful in.

I'm 5'2 and ended up going with a ball gown which I completely thought I would hate. I was also afraid it would overwhelm my smaller frame but I love it!

I'm 4'11'' and had no issues finding a dress. It just had to be hemmed quite a bit.

But I also know that David's Bridal has a lot of dresses in petite length, which if I remember correctly, means that the torso is shorter.

    Good luck!

I am 4'10" and didn't have a issue. Obviously nothing will fit you right when you go to try on, but I think this is the case for most brides since we are all shaped differently. Expect the dresses to be very long when you go to try on, this can be fixed though when you go to get your alterations. I recommend that you start dress shopping ASAP - it depend on where you go but some places can take 6 - 8 months just for dresses to come in. My seamstress recommended 1 - 2 months for alterations (2 months preferred).

I am just over 5 feet and went with a ball gown. my only alteration done was getting it hemmed and she took off the entire train (didn't want one, outside wedding) and about 9 inches total around. And now it's perfect for me!

I'm 5'2" and was able to find a couple dresses that I loved pretty quickly, both at David's Bridal and an independent salon (went with the salon). There were a few that I tried on that did really swallow me up, but the majority were just too long. I also plan to wear heels, so that helps a bit. (My groom is 6'!) And some salons have pedestals/platforms to stand on to get the full effect of the length.

4'10" and plus-sized, here! I wanted tea length, because at my height and width, I didn't want to look like a marshmallow. Also, I am clumsy Smiley smile The thought of going into a bridal salon literally sent me into hysterics, so I decided to have something custom made. I know my dress isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's perfect for ME, and I love it!

Where there's a will, there's a way. You will find something!
