Any other match.com couples on here?

I think one of the funniest things about my engagement is that we met online- I am wondering how many more match.com couples are out here?? We have been together for only 6 months- I never thought I'd be one of "those" couples- but we really could be on a commercial, haha!

I know, I know. Don't even judge me because we already judge ourselves. I swear I was just looking for a couch!!! Didn't realize the guy came with the couch :-)

Not among the online love connections but loved readin your stories.

Actually most of my Boyfriends were all online. I met two guys on Myspace. and one from Friendster??? I think can't remeber the exact name. none of those relationships worked out for me. I was never sure why and whether or not it had to do with "How" we met or some other reason..

But I am happy I met my guy through work....But I loved all your stories...so cute!

    We're a match.com couple! Smiley smile

We had our first date on July 4, 2008 (4 years next wednesday!). We moved in together "officially" November 24, 2009 (Thanksgiving), engaged on October 15, 2011, to be married September 8, 2012. Smiley smile

We each had dated people on EHarmony and match.com. I put my profile back on match.com (after having it inactive for a few years) within 24 hours later, he messaged me. Smiley smile

We met on eHarmony. We were matched January 8th 2009, then lost touch for a couple of weeks, had our first date in February and became inseparable after that!

We are a match.com couple. My friends actually signed me up for both eharmony and match because they didn't like any of the guys I was meeting. They even paid for it. Eharmony only found me about 4 matches so that didn't really work. I started paying more attention to the match account and met some really great guys. One late night I started searching profiles and found his. His profile had me laughing so hard and I thought this guy has to already be taken but I messaged him anyway. He immediately responded. Turns out that he worked nights and we talked all night and everything took off form there. We have been together for 6 years now and have a fabulous blended family. Getting married in November and he still keeps me laughing.

We met on POF as well, last August. Talked online for about 2 weeks, met for ice cream at 11am, spent the whole day at the park talking and getting to know one another, finally said goofbye at 8pm! We've been inseperable since then Smiley smile

We met through match.com but in an interesting way. I recently ended a 2 year relationship and felt I needed to go on a few dates to get back into the swing of things. My FI messaged me, but he had glasses in his photo and I didn't want to bump glasses if we ever kissed (at the time I wore glasses almost everyday). Yes, this is an extremely ridiculous reason to not email someone back!!! I realize this now.

Well, he recognized someone in one of my profile pictures as a friend of a friend. He called her and explained that he wanted to take me out. She called me, told me the story, and I figured I would give him a shot. 3 months from our first date we moved in together, 9 months after our first date we bought a condo together, and 16 months after our first date he proposed. So, without match.com my FI would not have known I existed and could not have put in the effort to get us together. I am so grateful he did!

My FH and I meat on Plenty of Fish also. Had our first date at Octoberfest and we're getting married this November. I was never one to really believe in love at first sight, and going on 30 (go ahead and laugh), I was pessemistic that I would ever find the one person that could make me laugh the way my FH does. We talked on the phone for 6 hours the first time we talked! It was a little embarassing at first to tell people how we met, but the important thing is that we met. I guess online dating is way more popular than I thought. Congrats to everyone! Technology finally does something good!

We met on POF last June, met for the first time IRL on July 4th when he came to visit me, we quickly became exclusive. I went on a week long vacation with him for the last week of July... we lived 6 hours apart at the time & were feeling like it may as well have been 6 planets apart lol. As soon as I got home from vacation I turned around the very next day & went to visit him for a couple days.... he came home with me and we packed up/sold/gave away everything I owned and I moved across the state to live with him. We have been inseperable ever since & were engaged on Valentines Day of this year.

When ya know.... ya know!!!! Smiley smile

Love seeing all the other couples that also met on Match.com! We met in Sept. 2012 and will be getting married in New Orleans during Mardi Gras Feb. 21st in a few weeks. We joke all the time about being on one of their commercials and how cool that would be! After just a few dates we turned our profiles off and have been going strong ever since. Love your comment Celia, it's a hi-tech twist to the traditional matchmaker for sure and we are so thankful for Match bringing us together.

    Match.com success here.

It took a couple years, and meeting some real duds, but well worth the wait.

We have been together since Oct. 2012. We are getting married on Dec. 12th, 2015.

We both divorced after 23 yrs. of marriage.

On line dating will work if......

Very Important * Have an open heart. Your past relationships are over, and you have moved past the bitterness.

You are serious about finding a true equal partner in love, long term commitment and life.

You are honest and write a profile that is your true self and what you are looking for.

You post past and current photos of yourself...NOT YOU LAYING ON THE BED WITHOUT CLOTHES OR BIKINI ETC...Remember, you reap what you sow. NOT you 150 lbs. ago, or with hair on your head and you have none. Not your cars, boats, rv's, toys, children and houses etc...

Photos of children can attract a sicko!

There are a lot of shallow people out there.

A picture tells a thousand words.

GOOGLE their name. You will be amazed at what you can find out!

You need to be clear on what's really important to you. If it's money and things! I'm sorry, but you will never be happy.

Abstain from sex until you get to know one another. Friends first. At least a month or longer. Are you looking for a future with a worthy mate? Or just sex?

Know you will get discouraged, but keep moving forward with a positive attitude.

When you meet someone for the first time, make it clear they are not a match.

Be kind, Thank them and wish them the best. Be honest.

My soon to be spouse and I have a great deal in common, that is important.

Stop tyring to dit a round peg in a square hole.

Everyone deserves happiness. We are all looking for different things in a mate.

    Best wishes and Kind regards...
