Any other “so extra” flamboyant kind of brides?

Couldn’t find wings that would ship in time, I wish I didn’t hesitate. 😓 but I did get two pairs of elf ears, we’ll see if FH wants to wear a pair! I know he will at ren fest at least

Here they are. I love seltzer and will be more likely to grab one of these vs a bottle of water in between glasses of wine which I will need to keep me from drinking too much.

I make my own teas so now I think I have to add something like that to the menu for the dinner party! You are full of so many good ideas! Thank you!!

Good luck finding the wings. I know they're not all great but since it's Halloween time there are plenty of pop up Halloween stores now.

I’m on the fence for wings, I found a pair I’m considering to check out from a Halloween store. The ones I was looking at on Etsy are definitely higher end cosplay ones but this Yam is broke! Fast shipping alone is $60, ouch. I watched a tutorial on how to make them. So they come in a light flesh color but I’m closer to a ghoul IRL so I’ve got to put foundation on them to match my skintone, but I also got these fabulous big pearl flower clip on earrings I’m going to attach and possibly do something fun to the ear tips, maybe a dip dye or just rhinestone piercings or something. Going for more of a color washed pixie vibe with them I guess. Maybe since my hair is pink I’ll color the tips a matching shade.

I’ve been thinking about asking my MUA to do a light dusting of shimmer on the tops of my cheeks or lower eyelid area but I don’t want it too glam. The more I think about these fun ideas the more excited I become!

Well, if you have the ears you may not need wings, especially if it causes stress. You are going to look like the perfect fairy princess bride with or without them! AND if you wait to get them you may be able to get them to match the dyed dress.

My opinion is I would hesitate on coloring the ears pink because it might look like your hair color went everywhere, but I haven't seen it in pictures so who knows? I do like the piercings though and the best part is you can really dress that up or down as you like.

I bought a glittery shadow I want to use to line my lids and in my previous attempts with it ended up with sparkly cheeks too. I figure that's not so bad if it's subtle enough. I'm just happy I FINALLY found a lip stain in the right neutral purple shade I want. Get excited! I'm getting excited for you!

This is true!! I haven’t even decided on dye yet, could be better to wait. I saw the most breathtaking wings yesterday. They had hanging rose vines, it was truly like wings of an upper class Seelie court kind of fae! Made me swoon, too bad it was $400, I might attempt to make my own version for next year, only lily of the valley maybe.
Leaning towards periwinkle blue for dye, my seamstress said a lighter color will dye more evenly but my skirt will be lighter than my bodice so it’s a tough decision. A fairy of the moon would look so beautiful! 😍 With heavy moonstone and selenite jewelry just everywhere. I might even like my dress better as a costume than a wedding dress!

That sounds about perfect! Twinkles dusting your face! Ooh what lip stain is it? I found one by accident but it’s a berry. It literally won’t come off without scrubbing it, the only lipstick that can survive a day in the kitchen.

Ever since you mentioned you were dying yours I have thought about the colors I would want. I love the moon fairy idea, that was one of my thoughts too. I like the opal dip dye idea. I have a fondness for my birthstone though. lol

I picked it up at Sephora. My old eyes can't read the name but it's #119. I put it on this morning and used setting spray this morning. I ate breakfast and drank coffee without it getting on anything or rubbing off. Since I am going to have dramatic eyes I really wanted to subtle purple on my lips and this really seems to work.

Honestly, while I'm sure some people had complaints, all we've been hearing is how it was such a fun, great wedding. I think if you stay true to yourself that positive energy will flow out and people will have a great time and not care about the "non-traditional" things, esp. if in everyday life you're not the most traditional person.

You could go subtle like you’re controlling nature or more dramatic like you’re becoming nature, and of course the most beautiful of flower crowns has to go with it. Wings could look somewhat transparent like they’re made from water.
Most people that go to our local renn fest barely even dress up. FH and I get stopped for pictures every year because there’s just not enough people in garb besides staff. Little kids always like my look, that’s probably the best part. We have a ball every year on the last weekend but I’ve never been fancy enough to go. I’ve gotta make my wedding dress more regal!

View Quoted Comment I don’t remember the name but I got it at Ulta and it’s their brand, sold on the wall with all the Ulta brushes. I know it’s a dupe for an online only product. The compact looks like a disc of all the colors and when you swipe it you get all of them, the purple color is the brightest but it’s not too rainbow at all with a lighter hand.
I’ll see if I can find it! I’ve got a lot of makeup.
