Any size 12/14 brides care to share?

I am a 12 or 14 and my dress is a 16. Dress sizes run small. I asked my consultant why designers make them.run small to make a bride feel bad while wedding shopping. Ugh!!!

I am a size 14! Wear size 12 jeans.

Beauty comes in all sizes!! I just picked my dress out yesterday (don't have pics to avoid FH bumping into them) and was a size 12. It will really depend on the dress style!

I will tell you, I had three apps and at the first two stores most samples were too small, but they really make it work to give you an idea. Then, at the third (and where I ended up getting my dress) they were all either my size or a size smaller! It really depends on the boutique. This one was also a little higher end, I don't know if that's makes a difference?

Normally wear a 12, dress is a size 16. Don't worry about the size, you'll forget all about it when you find "the" dress.

Ps, none of the samples fit me, they had to clip connectable inserts into them so they would fit. Don't let it bother you.

I wear a shrinking 18 in jeans and my dress is a 26. I was on this forum long before I went dress shopping so I knew not to pay attention to the number on the tag. Have fun!!

Normally wear an 8/10 in dresses and mine is a size 14.. I feel good in it, that's all that matters!!

I'm a size 8/10 normally (wearing a 10 in the photo) ordered my dress in a 12, don't stress about it! You'll find an amazing one that works on your figure, just go in wanting to look like you, not like a mannequin (:

I'm a size 12-14 street size. My dress is a 16. It will have to be taken in under the bust but is a corset back so it's easy to adjust.

I knew what you meant by "real brides". The pictures of models in dresses in magazines and on websites doesn't give me a real idea of what I would look like either. This is the model photo of my dress on davids bridals website

This wasn't the dress I picked but it was a size 12 and super tight on the girls but they made it work, even if it's small or snug they'll make their sample size work for you so you can try it on!

Don't focus on the number or worry about your size. I usually wear a 20. I was so nervous about finding something that I could even step into let alone zip up. I found and ended up buying a dress off the rack that I love. Seriously, you'll find something beautiful. Focus on the dress and how it makes you feel

Street size 10 and I ordered a 16 which is a little too big! I was worried about finding dresses that look good. You'll be fine lady!
