Any size 12/14 brides care to share?

Stupid cropping, bye bye head and train of dress.

Here's me in mine. I'm a size 13 and I don't even know what size my dress is, nor do I care. I don't think you should either!

I'm a 16 in regular clothes and my dress is an 18.

I'm a size 16/18 and I didn't have any issues! My gown was gorgeous and I felt beautiful! You will too!

I wear a size 12/14 jean normally and had to order a size 20 just because of my bust size. Honestly, as long as my dress fits I don't care what size had to be ordered. Technically, my dress had to be ordered using European sizing though.

Not my dress, but this was a 12 and I range 2-6 in street clothes.

I really wished everyone who posted pictures would have posted the name of the boutique that was accommodating to them. I'm somewhere between a 12 and a 16 in jeans, I've recently lost 40 pounds so I'm not currently sure of my size. I'm still not at my goal weight I'm terrified of going somewhere that I dont fit any of their dresses.

I wear a 16 pant. 18 dress ordered. The consultant told me at least a size up in dresses is normal. Everyone one looks gorgeous in their dresses!!

Mercedes, I went to David's. My gown is a size 18. I tried on 5 dresses ...all fit like a glove. I just went back for alterations and literally only needed to have my bustle added! I'm 5'8" though lol

@Mercedes- I want to a small bridal salon in NJ called Rienzi. They had as many dresses as DB. I also did go to Alfred Angelo as my first stop. Many of their dresses were carried in plus sizes in the store so I could try them on there. (Size 12/14 jeans puts me in a plus size dress). If you are nervous about going somewhere, call ahead and ask.

I went to a bridal salon and they only had dresses, that I liked, that wouldn't even come up to my hips! I got discouraged so I left. Next place we went to had a much larger selection and I only pulled sizes that fit or real close! Much better experience!! I'm a 14 but my dress is a 20! Dress sizes are all over the place too! Happy shopping

Street size 8/10/12. My dress is a 16 and the only alterations needed is to make it a little shorter. The sample size I tried initially was a 14. It fit perfectly too. I'm sure it was stretched.

I was a 14 street clothes my dress was ordered in a 16 to accommodate my biggest measurement.... the hips!! lol

I wear a street size 6/8 and I bought the size 10 floor sample for a serious discount, since the style is going out of production. As you see, it's clamped in the back, so there was room to spare. The staff at Elizabeth Johns in Morristown, NJ were super helpful and I wholeheartedly recommend them. (They also have a location in Philly's Main Line in Ardmore. )

I'm a size 12/14 and had to order a 22 specifically for my bust. But it's just a number! I went into my appointment knowing that I'll have to get alterations anyway, I'm 5'0 tall. I had found a few bridal places with extended sizing as well. That really helped me with getting a good picture of what the dress would look like on!

Do not stress! I was feeling the same way when I went in. I am typically a size 14 in pants, and my dress also ended up being a 14. I felt SO beautiful when I tried mine on! When I tried on the sample, they had to use multiple clips to close the back and regardless of that, I still loved it!
