Any unique bar/station ideas??

Glam0rous, on January 9, 2016 at 4:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

For as long as I can remember I wanted a candy bar at my wedding. Then I saw popcorn bars and loved the idea. Since we are having a DW in Mexico that idea kind of got squashed as I would have to bring all the popcorn with me and I really don't want to do that. After seeing the awesome s'mores bar idea I'm curious as to what everyone else is doing if they plan to have a candy/popcorn etc type of bar/station for your guests. Anything super different or unique out there?

After talking to my planner she said it was popular to have a Churro Bar as they are very popular in Mexico. I'm loving that idea now.

Celia - why did I not think of that? That's right up my alley lol

MrsE - I have never heard of that either. That sounds amazing actually.

I need to step up my bar game. I've been left in the candy bar shadows.

Churro bar would be AMAZING!!! I don't have any ideas, but a churro bar is the best sounding bar that I have heard of in a wedding (aside from a bar, bar).

I think we're going to do a trail mix bar. We hike a lot and trail mix is one of my favorite things ever, so we thought it would be fun.

Mango bar. Fresh, cold mango with chili powder, maybe some lime juice is a popular treat.

Our caterer has a lot of options for action stations/bars. Our top choices are to have a buttermilk biscuit bar, gourmet Mac and cheese bar, pancake/waffle/crepe action station, and either a fajita or pasta station.

We're doing a mashed potato bar which has been a secret dream of mine since I first saw it on Four Weddings when I was 14! It was a priority for sure! I would LOVE a churro bar!

A churro bar with Mexican hot chocolate sounds amazing. I love Celia's Margarita bar idea. You could also do a taco bar, fajita bar or burrito bar.

We are doing a pasta bar and a dessert bar (canolis, fruit, cookie pie and seasonal desserts). I have seen mashed potato bars done a few times and those are always yummy.

A churro bar sounds great. Maybe a margarita/colada bar for beverages. Seafood, tacos/fajitas. The sky is the limit.
