Any wedding venue under $2000???

Amber, on March 28, 2019 at 12:47 PM Posted in Planning 1 12

Hello, my fiancé and I are looking for a beautiful venue for ceremony and reception combined for under $2000 in North Carolina. We prefer it to be outdoors and have the ability to accommodate 100 guests. We both work in natural resources as wildlife biologists, so a natural setting is preferred but not required. Places that have significance to us are Waynesville, NC (Where we met), Columbia, NC (Where he asked me out), and Linville Gorge (where we got engaged). I know this seems like a steep request, but any help or suggestions for venues across NC, whether mountainous, piedmont, or coastal are greatly appreciated. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thank you.

I don't have any suggestions, but have you tried WW's vendor search? It has been extremely helpful for me during this planning process in finding a lot of my vendors. You just enter the city and state that you want to search. Then you can compare prices, reviews, etc.

Yes, I have diligently searched and have found a couple places, but I would like to see if maybe someone has a suggestion we missed. Thanks for the advice!

Ah I used to live in Wilmington, NC. It’s a state that can’t be compared to others. I recommend you look into city parks, shelters or pavilions. Usually, those are pretty affordable.

I am getting married at the Lodge at Bear River in the NC mountains and I highly recommend it. It’s $3500 for up to 85 people, I think it’s $4500 if you want up to 150 ppl. I don’t think you’ll find anything under $2000 unless it’s a public space.

Thanks Peggy! I've found a couple places, such as the Penn House for $1800. There are a few, but I was just seeing if I missed any. I'll check out your recommendation.

I’m getting married at The Roost at Butler Farm right outside of Greensboro. We are paying 2,000 for the venue which includes a coordinator. If you get married on a Sunday they drop the price! 😊

I'm getting married at Kress Terrace in Greensboro. Have you tried the Colonel Francis Beatty Park and waterfront pavilion in Charlotte, Jetton Park and/or sunning beach in Cornelius/Lake Norman,The Red Barn at Tanglewood in Clemmons/Winston Salem, there's also a hundred year old church on the park grounds that's available for rent as well. You have to look at the packages at Uwharrie Vineyards in Albemarle. When we were going to have an outside wedding this one was one of my top choices because of the pricing. You get a lot for the money and the price point is very very budget friendly. All of the above are very affordable.

All the Raleigh parks and rec buildings are amazing! Go to their website, they have 2 venues that fit your budget and guest list that are under $2000. You can also check the parks&rec centered in your area. Super affordable, especially if you're residing in that county still.

Thank you all for the advice, opinions, and locations! We selected to get married at Washington Oaks Garden State Park in Palm Coast, Florida. We rented the entire park for a little over two hundred dollars. My fiancé received a job in south Florida, so it made a great in between point for both of us. Thank you again for your advice! Have a great weekend!
