Diet and exercise. Even skinny people have that lower belly ponch. Just keep dieting and exercising.

What OTW said - You can't spot-reduce fat. You can only lose it by eating better and exercising

Nothing specific. Cardio and overall strength training. Cardio burns calories, strength training builds lean muscles which "eat" the calories.

Find an exercise routine that is high in cardio (burns excess body fat fast) and incorporates serious core training.

Not sure what your budget is, but cold lipo can work. It uses ultrasound to break up the fat cells. Expensive though. I may do it on my arms.

ETA: didn't see the 'exercises' post. Planks can work too, and will help arms. (though they haven't helped mine yet - lol. Keep waiting.

One things that you may want to consider is a colon cleansing and/or a full body detox. I suggest that as I am an independent distributor for health & wellness products and one of the things we tell women who are trying to lose belly fat is that there is no point in toning if you're toxic. By this I mean, that depending on your diet i.e. high in calories, fats, fried foods, etc. (only an assumption), you've got years of stored "toxins" in your pipes i.e. intestines that need to be properly flushed, before your workout will be 100% effective.

Also and not to gross you out, but also assess how often you BM. Is it daily? Immediately after a meal i.e. 30 mins or more infrequent like once or twice a week. If you're not regular, this can also have an effect on your ability to lose the belly fat.

Not trying to sell anything, just like to share what has worked for me.

When you're doing crunches, slightly lift your butt/pelvis off of the floor and hold it the entire time. Squats can also help tighten up your lower back which will help this as well. That and diet--diet is mostly to blame for trouble areas.

Doublle crunch machine at the gym. The one that you do a crunch and simultaneously lift your knees to your chest. It won't spot treat fat necessarily, but it will help tighten and tone that area. Plus, the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even at rest. Weight training is good for raising your metabolism. You won't bulk up, contrary to what some may say.

PS. I'm a licensed Esthetician and from my experience, Cold Lipo and other machines don't really work. The only technology I've seen results with and personally operated is the Bella Contour which uses vacuum, ultrasound, and electrodes. Cavitation, Zerona, radio frequency, etc is all a waste of money.

Holding your stomach in helps a lot for tightening the muscles

Cardio, strength trainin, lean protein, vegetables. And all of what Kristie said. I'm a marathon runner and tennis player, quite slim and toned. The lower belly makes its appearance on the weeks when I'm not in full training mode and it drives me absolutely nuts. I'm thinking of naming it, maybe then I won't despise it so much.

Oh the dreaded FUPA. Hate that thing. But yeah, I agree with what everyone said above. You can't target fat loss, you can only eat well and exercise. Good luck!!!

I've been going to a trainer and while I've overall lost 5lbs and gained muscle and toned. Literally the only thing that will help me lose belly fat is to cut out the delicious things that I love to eat...dessert.

ETA - basically I've learned to live with it. I'm otherwise healthy as far as weight/BMI but I love dessert more than I would love a flat stomach.
