Anyone do their own hair and / or make up?

I’m doing my own makeup and hair. My reason is because I’ve called around asking for different prices and their way to expensive!!! I’m not paying $200 for my makeup and hair. Plus pay for a hair trial. Oh and if I have three teenagers to get their done it will cost about $400-$500 depending on their hair length.
The two pictures is what I’m doing with my hair. I don’t want anything elaborate. The other picture is the clip I’m using.

I'm getting my hair done, but I'm doing my makeup. I sell makeup for a side business so I'm pretty comfortable with it.

I'll be doing my own hair and makeup. Mostly for the extra expense, and because I really don't wear a lot of makeup as is, I don't want to go all out and look too different from my usual everyday wear.

I have short hair so i dyed it reddish. Came out so pretty and refreshing. I also did a light make up of pinkish glitter eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrow fill in and light lipstick and gloss combo. I also put spots of foundation where i have any blemishes. The mothers and bridesmaids did full professional make up but I wasn’t feeling all of that on my wedding day. I preferred (my husband too) a more natural face. I never wear a lot of make up. Stayed true to me. I’d definitely do it again. It’s also a more personal thing when getting ready and doing your make up in the mirror. Just try a look out before the big day to make any major make up decisions. I took a chance on the hair but loved the outcome! Best of luck to you!! Congratulations!

My future sister in law is doing hair and one of my good friends is doing makeup. i don’t wear a lot of makeup and most of the time professional will just cake it on even if you don’t need it. also it’s so expensive. it’s ridiculous. i’d rather have it done by someone i trust.

waste of money honestly

It is soo expensive! I respect their time, materials and training, but I barely want to spend that much on a wedding band I will wear forever, let alone makeup for a couple hours.
