Anyone Dye Tulle?

Denise, on May 17, 2019 at 7:37 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

I want a deeper color tulle than what I can find. I was wondering if anyones had any experience with dying tulle before? Whether white or ivory is easier or if it's better to use powder or liquid dye? Tips, tricks, thoughts & Opinions?

If I were you, I would buy a yard or two and both kinds of dye to experiment with, and then have a kind of science project day with the different combinations to see what turns out best. What are you making, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to dye the tulle for decoration, I can't find one precolored deep enough for my liking. I want like a cranberry grape and the darkest I can find is burgundy. So instead, we'll dye it using Wine and Purple dye. I ordered both kinds and we already bought a yard of each color (White & Ivory) so we'll see how it goes when the dye comes in. Thanks for the advice!

    Hi Denise Smiley smile

Trying it out with a sample definitely sounds like a great idea! At least you will know them how much to use and how it takes. Let us know how it goes!

Where will you be using the tulle in your decor?
