Anyone else feel hideous in their wedding dress?

I pray you find the comfort and strength you need in therapy. When you hate yourself, you give your abuser more power. Your wedding day is a new beginning.

And, trust me, if WW ladies thought you looked hideous, you would know it.

I agree with Carole... if people thought you were hideous on here they would be honest to a fault.

But you aren't, instead you are gorgeous. Even if you don't see it, we do!

I wore my dress that I didn't really feel beautiful in on my wedding day and it didn't ruin the photos. I believe that you will be absolutely stunning in yours!

I am glad that you are seeking therapy (I personally think every woman should be in therapy... abused or not because all of us have things to workout). Wow - I'm not used to this kind of support from people. It's especially awesome because it's strangers on the internet. You've made me feel so much better. I was in tears in the fitting room today. All of you lovely ladies deserve such wonderful things in life - I can't express my gratitude.

Don't tell us thank you. Look at yourself in the mirror in your dress and say, "I am a beautiful bride and my wedding day is a new beginning."

I'm sorry but i love that dress on you. and i'm of the opinion that there are certain dresses that certain brides should wear, based on how they look and how they make the dress look. and you make. that. dress. look. good!!! i want a dress that makes me look like a princess too...well, i have a dress i've been obsessing over and even though everyone says to wait, and to keep looking etc...i want that dress. lol

and hey -- THE NEXT TEARS YOU SHOULD BE SHEDDING ARE TEARS OF JOY. no more sad tears! there's nothing to be sad about! i'm sure you're a wonderful, strong person on the inside and the outside!

Amanda.. I think you look absolutely beautiful in your dress! I think the dress is beautiful (if you "settled" as it almost sounds like you did based on your post.. it was a good choice!) Also, it looks great on you! I haven't gone dress shopping yet, but I have been really upset about going dress shopping because I don't like the way I look and I'm afraid that my body won't do a beautiful dress justice.. It's difficult to have so much pressure put on your appearance (whether you like how you look or not).. and given your background, no wonder you have struggled.. but I hope you are listening to all of these WW ladies when we say that you look beautiful! You're so close! Congrats!

Your dress looks fabulous, and I can see why they brought it in some at the top. You have an incredible figure, and the person doing alterations probably wanted to highlight even more. Be confident. YOU (and the dress) look amazing.

I am sure that you look beautiful in your dress, as many of the other ladies said, it is about how you feel, and you should feel beautiful on your day. Maybe there are some additions you could add to the dress to make you feel extra beautiful? Maybe an accented belt, or necklace?
