so to make this short, we will be waiting to go on our honeymoon until January, my wedding is this month. I can't take any time off from work after my wedding and I'm really bummed out to have to go right back to work the monday after. Anyone else??

I'll be in the same situation, I can't take any leave from January-beginning of April because it's our busy time of the year. It's a little depressing, but gives us something to look forward to later on.

Taking 2 days off before and the Monday after. Doing a short weekend getaway the next weekend. Not sure when we will actually honeymoon.

I remember my first wedding, I was putting myself through law school, so I was working full-time plus going to law school 3/4 time. The only time we could manage to take a honeymoon was during the brief period between summer school and the fall semester, which was about 6 weeks after the wedding. So we had the wedding on Sunday (as is traditional for Jewish weddings), and I went back to work and to school on Monday.

Monday night, one of my classmates said his car was in the shop, and asked if I could give him a ride home. I told him sure, that my husband would be picking me up and could give both of us a ride. Halfway home, the classmate asked, "So, how long have you two been married?" I replied, "Since yesterday." Classmate turned pale and said, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything!" I had all I could do to avoid responding, "Not at 50 mph over a bridge, you're not!"

We're getting married on a Friday, taking a mini-moon until Tuesday morning, and I'll be back at work for my 3-11:30pm shift Tuesday afternoon. Postponing our full honeymoon until our 1 year anniversary. FH just accepted a job and starts tomorrow (I guess technically today?!), so he gets no vacation time until his 1 year review. ETA: He asked his employer that a condition of his acceptance be that he gets the Friday and following Monday and Tuesday off.

We aren't able to take a honeymoon right away due to finances and PTO time. We will be able to take off the Friday before the wedding & we will get married that Saturday. Our days off from work are Sunday and Monday, so we will have a few days to recoop, but not a lot of time! It kinda sucks, but being an adult sucks more often than not. Lol.
