Anyone else have a super casual proposal?

FH proposed to the cranky sweatpants wearing version of me who was beyond annoyed that he wouldn't let me go to sleep when we had a 5am flight the next day. I definitely snapped at him immediately before and felt awful after. But he knew I didn't want a public spectacle, and it was nice being able to celebrate on vacation with his family immediately after. I wouldn't change a thing, sweatpants, crankiness and all.

FH and I had talked about marriage well before the proposal. Then I found out when he had the ring. I could tell he was getting too freaked out about how to do it so I was telling him that casual is totally fine with me. He proposed after we had take out pizza in our kitchen and finished a bottle of rum we had had since our first week together. At first I thought he was kidding. It was very us and I would rather that than something staged personally (since that wouldnt be who we are).

My FH proposed in the parking lot of the church he grew up in, his parents married in, and he found his faith. We were standing next to his car in a gravel parking lot. At the time it seemed so casual, but the more I think about it, that was perfect for us. We aren't formal people and this was the most personal and intimate proposal. It doesn't matter what your story sounds like to others, your story is better than anything you could ever imagine, because it's yours and only yours!

I got a ring in the mail while he was deployed

We were in Palm Springs after my fifth year committee meeting to decompress a bit from the previous months being very busy. We were hiking back from seeing the waterfall in Indian Canyon and he proposed about halfway back. I didn't cry, but I squealed a bit.

H proposed in the living room, before bed, while I was wearing basketball shorts and a hoodie. It was absolutely what I wanted: something low key with just us.

We have a (now) 2 year old. Our entire relationship has been a family unit (my son from a previous marriage and our daughter was conceived the 2nd time we had sex) so it went from an "if" to a "when" to a "how about next year". I don't have a ring, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. He had originally wanted to propose at the Harry Potter theme park when we were planning to go in 2018. Now we are getting married in 2018 and going the the theme park in 2019!

My H and I had been debating about having a big wedding for 2 years. I wanted something very small so we could save for a house, he wanted to pay for a reception. I finally conceded but agreed to a dinner instead. Two days later he said, "Babe, let's buy our rings!" And just like that we were engaged. When his ring came in I proposed to him. He ended up in the hospital about two weeks before the wedding. But he had planned on offically proposing to me that night. He made plans for us to rake the walk we took on our first date and propose on the pier where we had our first kiss. He ended up asking me to marry him while he laid in the hospital bed. It was the sweetest thing. We later found out he had too much stress and a pinched nerve which simulated a stroke. I told him we can cancel the wedding and get married at city hall, he wouldn't have it, he said he wanted to marry me in front of our friends and family. He has been good and we got married last month.

It was Christmas Eve, we were unloading gifts from the car and he tells me to wait a few minutes to come inside and I argued with him. He was making me so mad because he didn't want to help me get everything off and then he wanted me to wait! So he went inside and I walked in the house about a minute later and he was on his knee with the ring out. He just asked "will you marry me?" I said yes and smacked his shoulder because it was so unromantic and unplanned lol but that makes up our whole relationship.

My fiance proposed while we were in bed. I was searching for puppy rain jackets after realizing our 11 week old puppy wouldn't go out in the rain. I was about to purchase a rain jacket for our pup when my fiance pulled a ring out from under the covers and proposed. He didn't even get on one knee. It wasn't romantic, but that's okay. After he proposed, I went back and purchased the rain jacket. Later on, he did tell me he had some grand plans, but he was just too impatient.

My proposal was literally everything I ever said I didn't want ... and it was AMAZING and completely perfect. It's funny how you think you know what you want and have all these grandiose ideas, but when it's the right person at the right time ... that's all that matters.

My sister picked out her ring with her now-husband and when they got in the truck he asked "so you gonna marry me or not?" My sister: "oh, sure!"

Not romantic in the slightest but so what? If that's how they roll then so be it! Been over 10 years for them so far

He proposed while we were downing Coronas on the beach in shorts and tee shirts on a Friday night after work lol it was us 100%

He proposed while we were making pea soup in the kitchen. He did decide to take me outside and got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. He was sweet when he did his speech but the whole thing was super casual.

FH and I were laying in bed together talking about our future and just decided that we wanted to be engaged, so now we are!

I was feeding the cat and when I turned around he was holding the ring out to me. Never actually asked me to marry him, didn't get down on one knee... totally the moment every girl dreams of lol. But I love him anyway!

The first time, we thought we might be pregnant and didn't get a whole lot of sleep. I took the test first thing at like 6am, and it was negative. I was a little disappointed but too tired to really think too much about it. While I was in my way back to bed, he missed me against the wall and asked me to marry him. I said sure (didn't know what else to say) and went back to sleep, thinking I was dreaming it all. I texted him later that day to double check and he said yep it really happened. Got the ring almost two years later while we were laying in bed. He publicly proposed a few weeks after that. We're weird.

He proposed to me on vacation. Like 45 minutes after we got there with our best friends. I was sitting on the deck and he just came up behind me and started talking!

Me!!! We picked the ring out together. Once it was ordered and he got it, he gave it to me as I was coming out of the shower. Not really a surprise since I knew he had it.
