Anyone else have a super casual proposal?

Me! No photos, no videos either. We went to a rooftop bar I wanted to go with view of the city the night before my birthday. He just got on one knee and proposed. No one even noticed haha. Happened so quick. We did drink a lot of champagne that night though.

Spot on for my proposal as well. I had just walked in from a crappy day at work, he was laying on the couch (seemed odd considering he was usually playing Xbox at this time of day. He patted me to come cuddle with him and I did. He knows cuddling makes everything better for me. He was rubbing my back and was like "You know what I want?" and I grumpily look up to see him holding the ring in front of me. "For you to be my wife" with a huge grin on his face.

I actually knew it was coming, I just didn't know when or how. It was sweet and very "us" considering we have been together nearly 10 years.

FH had a very elaborate plan that he was going to propose at my last night working and closing the bar where we met. He had planned to propose after bar close in front of all our friends while dancing to the first song we ever danced to. I ended up getting way too drunk and passing out on the floor of the bar bathroom for 4 hours. He proposed 2 days later on our 5 year anniversary while sitting on his tailgate in our garage. It was so much more "us" and it could not have been more perfect.

My FH proposed in his parents backyard. We had just gone out to eat/drink with our friends then went back to his parents' house with his brother and while I was sitting outside with his brother and his brother's then GF he walked out of the house and put a box on my lap. His parents got some pictures that we don't have and then I think we all celebrated with a drink.

Super low key and I'm also not into being the center of attention but we went on vacation to Yosemite a week later which I thought would have been much cooler. I do see why he didn't want to travel with the ring but I always tease him about it.

Mine proposed after I got home from work in our living room! It was lovely and intimate and probably the only way to really catch me off guard since I knew he had the ring it was our first home together a month before we moved out of state, and he wanted that memory in that house. Wouldn't have it any other way!

My FH proposed on Christmas sitting on the couch next to me and it was perfect.

Ours was pretty low-key, but I wouldn't change a thing. We were up in the mountains (Skyline drive during fall is amazing) taking pictures. His youngest son (13) was with us and he pretended like he was helping him work the camera, but he set it up for video and walked over to me and got down on his knee and proposed. The video is hilarious because his son (who is so funny/witty), is making comments here and there: "hey, what's going on over there" while we kiss, and an awkward "third-wheel" as we kept hugging through laughter. That night also ended up being the Super Moon occurrence!

FH proposed on a random Friday night while eating dinner at home. He was planning on proposing at Easter, the week later when we hosted our families at our house but changed his mind because I had my nail appointment that afternoon and he knew they would look pretty when showing off the ring. HAHA! After 7.5 years together I had no clue he was proposing that night (though I knew it was coming soon)... and I am so glad he didn't wait until Easter because when he told me where he was hiding it; I would have for sure found it while cleaning and prepping to host the holiday!

Ours was very laid back and casual and that's exactly what I wanted. No one but the two of us, a simple down on one knee will you marry me done at the entrance area to my favorite local winery. I was completely surprised and so happy with how he did it.

My FH proposed on a random Sunday evening. We had spent the day with his three daughters, and when we got home, I was like "what in the h was up with you guys all day?" They were acting all sneaky and giggly. He said nothing, and went in to the bathroom. Here, they were trying to plan a proposal scavenger hunt! He said he had to quick text them "Abort mission, she's on to us!" And then just came out and proposed. It was still perfect. Just the two of us, in our backyard, on a beautiful summer night. He took the only photo with his phone.

My husband proposed to me in our front yard. He had taken the day off of work for us to go to a waterpark so I was getting my suit on. He came inside and said come look at something outside. Of course I fussed and said don't complain about me not being ready if you're making me go outside. Haha so we get outside and he gets down on one knee and says the sweetest things I've ever heard which included how this was our home and his favorite place in the world as long as I was with him and asked me to marry him. It was so perfect and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Apparently he planned a big something that night with the 2 of us but picked up the ring the night before and couldn't wait any longer. We had a perfectly simple day going to tell our parents, going to the waterpark and to dinner.

About a week before my H was asking about parks in the area and saying that we should go walk around some day. We decided to go the following Saturday and he kept bringing it up all week. I was like what's the big deal we're going to go walk around. That morning I got up and he said get ready let's go. I was just going to throw on bummy clothes it was hot and humid and we were going to walk around a park sweating our butts off. He told me to go shower an make myself look pretty. I thought fine maybe he wants to go to lunch or something. When we got to the park we picked a trail in the woods and stopped at a bench to sit and talk. We sat and talked forever and then he asked me I had no idea it was coming. We took a horrible selfie on the bench to remember.

My FH proposed at my work after I cut his hair. I work in a suite so I am all alone. He said all his plans kept falling through and he couldnt wait.

FH proposed while we were sitting on the couch watching tv, he tied the ring around our dogs collar. I knew it was coming because my dad spilled the beans that he had asked him for his permission a week before. Wouldn't change a thing.

Fh proposed after I came home from a 15 hour shift. I was wearing my scrubs, he was covered in toddler goo, we were both exhausted. It was perfect.

We started talking about possibly getting married at some point for about a year or so before we finally agreed to start planning. There was no proposal just a mutual agreement to start planning a wedding now. He handed me his grandmother's engagement ring (I told him if he ever got on one knee I would kick him in the face while he was down there-not my thing) and I took it to the jeweler and had it reset into something more my taste.

Apparently, he had grand plans that my best friends were involved in. Then, one morning, we were being fussy and were annoyed at each other. According to him, in that moment, even though he was upset, there was no other person that he would be with. And so he did it then, in the middle of the living room, when I was looking like crap - unshowered, hair undone, teeth unbrushed. Sometimes I hate the story of how it happened, but then I think about how pure and loving the story is and I am so glad to be with him.

No proposal here... lol just a ( hey u wanna get married ) ? Oh ok. Lol we been together for 21 years so... we just agreed its way past time. Ha! No judgment ladies.... each their own.

FH proposed on my birthday after I was running around trying to quickly get ready to go to the bar my friend works at for birthday drinks. He says he feels bad it wasn't more extravagant but I think it was perfect and I know he would have been way too anxious to do anything in public.

He took me back to where he asked me to be his girlfriend 3 years earlier, but we brought our new puppy. We had gone ring shopping together so I had a feeling it was coming, but it was cold and raining when we went. We walked around for almost an hour when he finally gathered himself enough to ask, on our way back to the car, with Harvey pooping in the sand. I cried so hard lol. Turns out he was supposed to do it Sunday but ended up doing it Saturday because he couldn't wait anymore, so when I called our families no one picked up because it wasn't supposed to happen yet LOL
