Anyone getting married around 4:30 pm?

Hannah, on April 13, 2018 at 8:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I am trying to set up my wedding day timeline and because were getting married on a Friday, were having a later ceremony so time between 4:30 and 5:00 is what I've been thinking.

What do your wedding day time lines look like?
More importantly, how long do you think I will need a photographer for? 8 hours? 9 hours? 10 hours? More?
I want the end of us 4 bridesmaids getting ready through then at least the first dance captured!
I'm just not sure how long everything takes and wedding wire doesn't have a time line generator any more....

My ceremony is planned for 4:30 as well. The time line I’ve come up with is
10am make-up and hair for the girls (this is what my hair and make up artist recommended)
    2:00pm photographer arrives
    3:00pm first look
    4:30pm ceremony
    5:00-6:00pm cocktail hr
    6:00-10:00pm reception
I only booked my photographer for 8hrs. We would have an hour for getting ready pictures, our first look, ceremony, and entire reception until the exit. I don’t think you need the photographer for too long for your getting ready pictures. I hope this helps

Ours is at 4:30. As of now I only have a photographer for 6 hours, starting at 3:30p. I don’t really want photos of us all getti g our makeup done. I mainly want. Us hanging out before the ceremony, and helping me into my gown, and finishing touches.

My ceremony is at 4pm - I plan on walking at 4:15pm. Our photographer will start at 2pm and end at 9pm - we are doing a conch train tour around the island (marrying in Key West) between ceremony and reception (1 hour) - if it wasn’t for that my photographer would stay with us for 8 hours only, I think is enough for a traditional wedding but if you can afford add one or two hours to that for more group and getting ready pictures.

Ours will start around 4:45/5, specifically because I want that perfect lighting the "golden hour" provides for photography (I looked up sunset time for the wedding day and set the ceremony time based on that).

Getting ready ??? - 3 for men, 3:30 for women

    Grooms Party photos 3:00-3:30

    Bridal Party photos 3:30-4:00

(We'll then retreat to our rooms to relax)

    Ceremony 4:45-5:15

5:30-6:30 cocktail hour while we take family, whole group, and couple photos

    6:30 Entrance, First Dance, Welcome/Thanks

    6:40-7:45 Dinner, Toasts, Cake Cutting

    7:45 - 10:30 Dancing and Such

We decided to only hire a photographer for wedding party/family/couple photos plus ceremony and first dance. So we'll have them for about 3 1/2 or 4 hours.

Depending on how you set up your day, you'll probably want them for a minimum of 6 hours?
