Yes! I'm just barely starting with this whole process but happy to talk vendor info so far!

We're planning for early October in the Berkshires.

Yay! Congrats on starting your process! I'm still looking for caterers and I've booked a venue. We are doing essentially a backyard wedding so we're piecing it all together. If you want any recommendations I'm happy to give them to you!

That would be awesome! I'm talking to caterers right now as well! What kind of vibe are you going for? I've had a call with one caterer and some email threads with a few more but that's it so far!

First of all, your engagement pictures are incredible. Second — thank you!! Who did you look at for catering? Who did you choose?

Thank you for the compliments! That's so kind!

We TRIED to get a hold of Blue Heron catering for a while but they never seemed to get out of their own way to actually call us back. I don't have time to track down vendors to communicate with me.

We looked into Delaney house/Tavern on the Hill for catering. Good food, decent price but their servers will most likely be bored 18 year olds who had no idea how to discuss the menu with folx.

We ended up with Longitude catering which was in our price range and was in the local community. (The restaurant is Latitude in West Springfield) and even though we are less than 40 days away, I can tell you that we have constantly been blown away by their customer service and food. We went to the restaurant multiple times prior to contacting them for catering. My FH's work uses the catering all of the time, but I was worried that they couldn't "step it up a notch" for wedding catering. I was WRONG.

The catering coordinator is EXTREMELY communicative with you. The tasting! OH MY GOD the tasting! We all walked out of the tasting still drooling thinking about the meal. They even make their own homemade ice cream and will serve it with the cake whether or not you use them to bake the cake.

Oh and the servers have been with the company/restaurant for years and can easily explain the menu to folx

On the day of, Longitude catering will also be providing us (the wedding couple) with a personal butler to get us food when we need/want it.

Oh and Cake bakeries - Cakes by Amanda is hands down one of the best in the area and is still affordable

We are going for an upscale BBQ feel, as it's summer time and at a summer camp! My fiancé loves Southern food and I like some lighter, fruit and veggie-based fare, so we're trying to get a good balance! One I would NOT recommend is Wheelhouse catering, they were horrible to work with. But the ones that seem pretty good so far are Peppermill Catering, Rita Welch Catering, Inspired Catering, and Clambakes of MA. Smiley smile What's your vibe and who are you talking to?

Thanks so much. We will definitely look into Lattitude! And the cakes recommendation is perfect, we've been looking for someone to do cupcakes.

WOW!! That sounds amazing! I love when brides wear colorful dresses! Did you always know that you wanted a non-traditional gown? 💚

I am getting married at Mountain Rose Inn. Its a gorgeous venue and a great price too! I have also booked my caterer: Seth Mias Catering. I have heard great things about him, so I am super excited. Another great caterer is Wheel House Catering. Let me know if you have any other questions, I did a lot of research! Smiley smile

Thanks! Weirdly, we actually had a really bad experience with Wheelhouse. Do you know if Seth Mias offers a bar or coordinates with one?

He does not offer bar supplies or glassware for the bar but he has bartenders for $20 an hour if you were to serve your own alcohol. Hope this helps!
