Anyone getting married in 2023?

Hello! Just recently got engaged on Christmas Eve! We’ve decided to get married in 2023 in March. I’ve already started looking into venues here and there. Is it too early to start looking and maybe booking? Thanks!

I haven’t booked my venue but I have messaged a few vendors. Some are opened to giving tours now and others have not even started to think about 2023 yet. I don’t think it hurts to talk to some and get prices to narrow down the ones you want to go look at, that’s what I’m doing!

Not too early at all! My fiancé and I knew we wanted a fall wedding and wanted a longer engagement so we could save. We got engaged New Year’s Day, toured a few venues the following week, and ultimately fell in love with one of them. We booked our venue for our September 2023 wedding on January 16th. Booking early gives you plenty of time to research the other vendors you’ll need and plan your budget out (and even space out payments to your vendors)

I just got engaged back on Christmas eve and we are planning our wedding for Spring 2023! Bring on the Lilacs! Ive already started reaching out to vendors and venues! My dream wedding would be at Como Zoo Conservatory in st. paul, MN OR Glensheen Mansion in Duluth, MN. Basically my vision is a garden with wild flowers and Lilac bushes blooming

I do not think it is early to start booking! I just got engaged in December and we picked June 2023 to get married. With Covid a lot of people are postponing their weddings and I have been going to venues and asking questions and some are already booking out into 2023. I am thankful though that my fiancé and I found our venue so fast!

Congratulations on getting engaged!!!! When I got engaged I set a date in September of 22. However my fiancé have so much going on in our lives at the moment that we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to save enough for the wedding. So now we’re getting married in September of 2023! We have already started looking for vendors and I definitely think it’s a great idea to look and start collecting ideas for what you and your fiancé want. Start messaging people now to get ideas on prices but let them know the big day is in 2023. I’ve started getting ideas together for what I want on my day. ( Pinterest helps pice together these things.)

Hi! We got engaged in August 2020 and are planning ours in 2023 as well. We are going to go venue shopping this spring so I don't think its too early. Then you get to see your venue a year or more ahead of time and covid brides are still trying to figure out their weddings. Don't loose your date!

I got engaged in August 2020 and went to the courthouse in September. We’re planning the wedding March 2023 because hopefully we can have our dream wedding and save without really stressing about making a deadline

    Hey!!
Oh my goodness congratulations!!! I don’t think that’s too early at all! We did the same thing, our wedding is March 2023. We found that in our area, a lot of venues we wanted are already booked for every Saturday in 2021 and 2022. So for us it made sense to lock in our date. We also found that we got a significantly discounted price for putting down the deposit. Everyone’s situation is different, just make sure you’re comfortable in your decision! ❤️

Hi! I think it depends on the venue, I got engaged early January and we have already booked our venue for 10.2023. I know some places won’t book that far out yet so I think it’s fine to start looking to figure what you want and if they have a spot open for 2023, go ahead and take it!

I am also going to be a 2023 bride 💚 🥂 (because of a lot of things not open this year still and also hoping things are back to normal with no limitations on venue availability and also head count) I have already contacted venues and vendors and am waiting to this summer to visit and then will be booking before the end of 2021. Would book already if there wasn’t snow in all of my venues! I am picking my date based on venue availability for 2023. I think we have better luck since we have more time to prepare and plan instead of feeling rushed or not having as many options. Good luck and congrats! Where are you looking to wed?

Congrats! I'm also getting married in 2023. Our mentality is that a lot of 2020 weddings got moved to 2021 and then those people who got engaged in 2021 are getting married in 2022 and that's why we chose 2023. It's NEVER too early. I got engaged on Christmas 2020 and I've already been to look at 2 venues. For me, it's better to know how much I need to save up for the venue when the time comes. Sometimes venues might not let you book a date that far in advance, which is okay, but it gives you time to save up for your favorite venue that way when their calendar becomes available you can snatch it up asap and you'll have the money for the deposit.

    Cheers!
