Anyone go/going to Greece for their honeymoon?

Hi all! We are in the midst of planning our honeymoon and are going to Greece! AKA the tippy top of my bucket list of places to see in this world. Needless to say, I am beyond excited. We are flying into Athens and doing at least one day there to see the major sights, and then going to Santorini for...

Hi all! We are in the midst of planning our honeymoon and are going to Greece! AKA the tippy top of my bucket list of places to see in this world. Needless to say, I am beyond excited.

We are flying into Athens and doing at least one day there to see the major sights, and then going to Santorini for 3 or 4 nights. We need to decide which other Greek island to see for another 3 nights - we are thinking about Naxos and Crete.

Does anyone have any experience with these locations or suggestions on which other island besides Santorini would be the best? We want to make sure we don't spend too much time on a ferry getting from to the other, and we'd love the second place to be beachy since Santorini isn't as beach-oriented.

Would LOVE any input!

    We are in the process of booking for May. We have 5 nights on Santorini, 3 nights in Athens, and I think we are doing 1 night in Nafplio as well. I'm so excited! We have been reading up on Greek history so that we can appreciate the historic sites more.

    Last May we went to Athens and Mykonos the beaches were beautiful and plentiful! There are beaches called paradise beach and super paradise beach both so amazing. We found Mykonos to be very quiet from all of our other trips especially the Caribbean so the party scene in Mykonos was welcomed and not over the top as I thought Don't let that scare you it's not an all day party thing you can still have your romance and enjoy yourself

    I actually spent 10 days travelling through Greece last May! You are absolutely going to love it. I'd suggest Mykonos. It's a smaller island but the sunset, beaches and over all atmosphere is so wonderful. My FH and I actually loved that place more than Santorini. We used a travel agency over there as well called fantasy travel of greece. They were awesome and we didn't have to take care of anything except the flights. Enjoy!!! Smiley smile
