Anyone have experience with ring repairs at Kay

Something HORRIFIC happened to me today. I was an idiot and took my ring off for a few minutes to clean out my car, and left it on the hood, then forgot and drove away with it on my hood. Fast forward I realized it and looked up and down the street for it until I found it, mangled, broken , scuffed up, and the diamond fell out of it and I think the prongs are broken. I found all the pieces, I have that insurance thing with Kay and will Go over there first thing tomorrow morning. Wondering, anyone have any experience with Kay regarding repairs? I heard lots of horrible things how they lose them, replace things etc? Maybe I’m better off going to a in house jeweler? Anyone have experience with ring repairs at Kay 1

I also have my ring with Kays, and the warranty! I had a diamond loose on my engagement ring, and my wedding band came missing a diamond (ordered online). Kays was good with both of my repairs. There was a lack of communication when they had my engagement ring, they just never called to update me where they had to send it to, or when it was ready. I always had to call to get updates, however my wedding band repair I had zero issues. So fingers crossed they are able to help you!

Aww I’m terrified at something like this happening. That or outright losing it. I lost 2 purity rings in the past 18 years.

A reputable jeweler should be able to repair it for sure, but I don’t know what it’s going to cost. There is an heirloom ring that I have coming to me shortly and I know it will need some repairs before I can wear it.
