Anyone having a Sweetheart Table?

GeekyBride, on March 19, 2015 at 10:51 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 47

So, we decided on a Sweetheart table. Everyone in the BP is married, except our kids, and I don't want to make married couples eat without their spouse.

Anyone else having one? How do you plan to decorate it? I was thinking of glittering the letters for Mr. & Mrs. , and some candles.

I am having one, I am getting a sequin table cloth and just putting a few bouquets on it from the bridesmaids. I don't plan on actually being there more then 15 minutes.

We're covering ours with a golden burlap tablecloth, putting my bouquet in a mason jar so it will be our centerpiece, tealights, and large standing B & E bronze letters (like 7" tall).

We are doing the same for the same reason. We are seating at a 6ft rectangle table with ivory table clothe and blue and green overlays overlapping. I bought a "Mr & Mrs Williams" sign to hang from the table. At the outside corners of the tables I plan to have the girl lay their bouquets there. I may sprinkles some petals and add 2 tea lights. Keeping it simple.

We are having one, and I have a lace tablecloth to use over the navy one they use. Hoping it is gorgeous like in my head.

I'm with you ladies! Sounds like simple is best. I'll go with my idea of the Mr. & Mrs. I just need to decide if I want it on the table, or across the front, like you'd hang a bunting.

I'm going to have these hanging on the back of our chairs. Looking for a different tablecloth to throw over, and my bouquet will go on the table. I kind of want elbow room to eat, ha.

We are going to be doing the same for the reason you stated. Plus I want all eyes on usSmiley smile

For all I know is that I want a sequined tablecloth (actually this is already purchased) and it'll probably be decorated with small elements of each table to make it look cohesive, yet different. I don't know all the details at the moment so who knows what will change. As long as I have bling on my table, then I'll be happy.

We will be but not by choice, we have an uneven bridal party that could get even more uneven. Right now it's 4 and 2 but if FH's brother gets a job he's going for it will be 4 and 1. I do see the benefit of it for the BP but I myself have never been bothered sitting apart from my SO for dinner. I hadn't thought of how I will decorate it, likley with icicle lights and the same centrepiece as the other tables.

We are doing a lace coral table runner on ours (no one else has them) and my bouquet will be the centerpiece.

ETA - Also thinking about putting a little ceramic "J & A" I have on there too.

I'm doing ths Mr. & Mrs. Lettering as well. FH wants to put a conch somewhere on the table. We're having a beach theme and the bouquets will be made of shells, I plan on having the girls put their BM bouqettes on the sides of the lettering and having mine stand as a centerpiece behind the conch. I was thinking of glue in shells on the lettering but I'm starting to think that'll be too much. I might just stick with glitter.

As of right now I'm planning on doing a round table between two rectangular tables, so kind of sweetheart table but we'll be surrounded by our bridal party too. I bought some DIY marquee letters in our initials to decorate, my bouquet will be on the table, it will have a gold tablecloth, and I'm going to make a tissue paper tassel garland for the front. There will also be a few votives. For the two rectangles on either side I'm planning on just votives and the bridesmaids bouquets on blush tablecloths. Our guest tables are made out of barnwood so our tables will be the only ones covered. I wanted to do a sequin tablecloth but the top of my dress is sequins so I didn't want to clash, but I loooooove these tablecloths!

We will. Same linens as the other tables. But instead of standard centerpiece it'll have the 2 bridesmaid bouquets on the sides and a & symbol in the center with lose flowers.

Talking with the decor folks soon. Kinda want a backdrop for nicer photos.

We're having one. Ours will have a metallic complementary tablecloth, my bouquet as the centerpiece, and some sort of Mr. and Mrs. sign.

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I mentioned it to my mother about 2 months back, and I swear I heard her gasp. She's very old fashioned (and 75). I told her that from what I had seen, it's very common nowadays.

I'm excited to start figuring out just what I want. My BMs are wearing eggplant, and accents throughout the even will be eggplant, fushia, and orange. I love the contrast. I'm sure I can come up with something that will make ours stand out, and be special.

What size table is everyone using? this is what i have been struggling with. My tables for the guest are the 8ft rectangles put together. The cake will be on a round and I could get a round for our sweetheart table but that seems so big for 2 people.

I think our guest tables are 72 (for 8 or 10) and ours is 30 ,unless we want a rectangle, and I forgot what size that is. ETA: The round they offered is big for just two, but we plan to sit together, rather than opposite, if that makes sense.
