Anyone know where to find glass or metal gold chargers for a decent price?

*sayre_ah*, on March 7, 2018 at 8:16 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

The rental company wants $5-$8 a piece to rent them, which to me is outrageous. I'm wondering if I can find them for the same price or cheaper to buy in bulk (that way maybe I can get some money back afterwards). I don't want the plastic ones from the dollar store. Looking for glass or metal :-)

Thanks!

That’s really the going rate. If you want to be a little cheaper you can do a regular dinner plate and then serve the meal on a smaller lunch plate. Dinner plates are usually rented for $2-$3.

I dont have a lead for you but something to think about is collecting them and washing them. Who will be responsible for gathering then at the end and transporting (with food residue) them to the place to be washed. Once you take the effort required you might decide that renting them or doing without is a better option

I have been having the same issue... My caterer is renting them for $5 each... I did find some on bridal garage sale for purchase, but they are the same price or more and then you have to try and sell them yourself or rent them out after.

There are a bunch of places online you can buy gold chargers for like $2 a piece. I would just google it.

Ah, have you ever used the polypropylene chargers? Seeing as they just sit underneath the regular plates I’ve never thought them to be cheap looking. They are much thicker than the plastic dollar tree ones.

We actually got lucky with the china we rented in that the set had this type of combination. The "charger" was a 12" dinner plate and the "dinner" plate was a slightly smaller 10" plate.

$5, I dorm think your going to find anything in glass that's decent. The glass chargers I wanted were $35 each, so I bought nice napkins instead 😂
