Anyone not getting their nails done?

Tori, on October 13, 2018 at 11:19 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 11
I only get my nails done when I go out of town. I bartend and they chip so I don't like having my nails done when they chip so fast. I wouldn't want gel or acrylic it's not really my style. My family might kill me but I think I won't be doing my nails. It's just more me when I look back at pictures to see unpainted nails as opposed to something fancy. I like doing my toes but no one will see that lol

Anyone else feeling the same way?

Im not getting my nails done or painting them myself. My cuticles run badly when I get my nails done and its so ugly for pictures (and painful).
Look into getting gel polish. W/o fake nails. It is amazing and wont chip.

You can do whatever makes you feel best! If you want a natural nail you can just file shape them, give them a nice buff, and moisturize your cuticles. You could even put a quick clear coat on them and that will make your hands perfect to show off your ring!

You can do whatever you like! I don’t spend money on manicures but I bought 2 nice OPI colors, chose one the day of, and painted myself while my mom was getting her hair/make-up done. I knew I wasn’t going to frame any “hand over hand” pics so doing my nails myself worked out just fine! 💅🏻

I've always been kind of tomboyish with that stuff. I just feel like I only paint my nails maybe two or three times a year, so I wouldn't feel like myself with painted nails when I look back at pictures. It's not off the table, but I'm leaning towards no.

I am the same. Mine usually chip bad and I don’t like acrylic or gel. But I did find and opi color I like. It’s their infinite shine gel polish (silver cap). It lasts almost 2 weeks. So I am just painting mine myself. But natural would look good too. Whatever you are comfortable with.

There is nothing wrong with not wanting to have your nails painted for you wedding day.

If you wanted to compromise you could always get a manicure to clean up cuticles/moisturize just get a clear polish or a buff. No matter what you decide I'm sure no one will even notice your fingernails!

You can absolutely do whatever you want with your nails!

I don't wear nail polish usually and I don't like acrylics, but I got my nails done with dip powder. I kept them short, with a pale pink color that I loved.

It’s up to you! You could paint them yourself day of so they will last to the reception or if you don’t want polish at all you could get a little manicure kit to file and clean up the cuticles to make the names look a little more finished in any ring pictures.
