Anyone not having a rehearsal?

Jennifer, on May 29, 2019 at 3:02 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
Our wedding is Friday November 1, 2019. Customarily the rehearsal should be the night before but with the night prior being Halloween and a majority of our bridal party having children we were thinking of skipping the rehearsal completely. Our only other option is 2 days prior to the wedding but some of the party is coming from far away so it could be an added expense to have to come so early for the rehearsal. Anyone skipping rehearsal or have any clever ideas?

What time is your wedding? Would it make sense to maybe have it the morning of the wedding? You could also have it in the early afternoon the day before, I feel like trick or treating is done around 5-6 and the rehersal should only take about an hour. They can go trick or treating afterwards!

We are skipping the rehearsal. The venue has a wedding the night before and assures is that the coordinators will make everything run smoothly so no rehearsal for us. This was what we were told at several venues we looked at, though it does make me a little nervous. We will probably do a walk through a few weeks before the wedding just to calm my nerves.

We're skipping the rehearsal since our ceremony is so small and pretty relaxed. Around where I live trick or treating is usually done by dinner time and families only seem to stay out about an hour max before the kids are done. Could you have your rehearsal after, at like 7? If you let people know, they should be able to arrange to go ToT with enough time to get to the rehearsal also.

If you're having a large wedding party, I would suggest trying to find a way to fit a rehearsal in. If it's a smaller party, I don't think it's necessary

We are skipping the rehearsal as well. We are having a small wedding party so it should not be a problem. But FH and I are meeting with the venue manager 2 days prior to discuss things.

I am undecided on whether I am going to have a rehearsal as well since we don't have a bridal party/groomsmen. If I do have a type of rehearsal, I was just going to have my officiant, photographer, and videographer meet up and maybe order pizza so at least the photographer and videographer can communicate about how they want to coordination video and photos.

We are having a large wedding party 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsman. But We have all been in weddings before so I’m thinking the walking down the isle portions shouldn’t be a problem lol. My FH and I would still meet up with the Pastor at the church with my future step daughter (flower girl) and go over the ceremony details I think. It seems that it isn’t as uncommon as I first thought not to have a rehearsal.

We didn’t rehearse and everything was fine. We just put the bridal party in order and they had no issues figuring out how to walk down the aisle. What I SHOULD have done though is consider the recessional as we had 1 more groomsman than bridesmaid so I forgot to mention to the last one that she should be escorted 2 of the boys 😳. I think the last guy walked alone. Oh well ...haha no one was watching then anyway! Hahah
