It adds stress and takes the fun and sentiment out of it, just my opinion.

I've noticed that sometimes the higher budget brides don't win, it's usually the bride who has the most "fun" reception. Definitely if you have an $80k budget you can afford a lot of fun stuff though.

My FH likes watching it just to get ideas however we both hate the fact that some ladies are just so cruel.

Yeah I watched today's episode. I wouldn't spend 65k on a wedding and then try and win a free honeymoon.

I"m frugal but not THAT frugal.

The show is enteraining. I'm surprised at some of the things people consider ok to do.

    I love it! (watching it)

    and

I hate it! (the mean things they say)

one thing for sure I would NEVER do it. I don't even want one person I don't know at my wedding let alone being there specifically to judge it Smiley sad Everyone lives different, its one thing on here to say that you hate cash bars, then it is to go to a wedding of a person you havn't met in a town or community of which doesn't follow the same rules that you're used to and then say you hate it. I mean people give bad marks on food cause "i don't eat that" or I've heard them say things like ewe a pigs head grose.

The thing is that the wedding isn't about them (the judges) its about the couple, their families and their friends. If I had friends that didn't eat red meat I wouldn't have chosen that as our meal. (we have many friends that don't eat pork and so I didn't choose that) but if a judge came they might hate the food cause they only eat fish. I still like it better than most wedding shows though cause u get 2 c 4

My favorite is when someone is warned that it's an out door wedding then they complain about having to walk in the grass in their shoes.

Or its at a family farm adn they complain that it smells like horse poo. (give me a break)

I'm pretty sure some of my ILs came to our wedding just to judge it. I wish I got a free HM for that. I definitely earned it! lol.

I like it for ideas but hate the bitchiness. (Although there have been weddings featured here (AZ) and Texas where they seem a lot nicer. I don't think it is fair when an 80k wedding competes with an 8k wedding. I have seen some of the smaller budget weddings win, but not that often!
