Anyone not wearing a veil?

TaylorCova, on December 8, 2017 at 11:53 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 87

Hello I was wondering if anyone else are not feeling the whole veil look? And if you didn't wear one did you regret it later looking back on pictures. For me I didn't like the way I looked in a veil and thinking maybe just a hair clip will look good with the hairstyles I want ( I'll insert pic ideas) . Thank you have a good weekend

Meeee. Not a huge fan of how I look in them. This is what my hair will look like (that's my head).

I don't think I'll wear a veil but I'm not sure what I'll do with my hair

I'm not wearing one. I don't really identify with the symbolism behind it. I also think I would feel silly.

No veil for the whole day but a flower crown for some photos. With a curly mid-head ponytail and bang.

    I didnt use a veil.

We had a beach wedding and it was quite windy so I am happy I didnt. Might have worn my hair in an updo if I had to do it over again.

I'm wearing one but only because when else do I get to? However, they are totally optional and if you don't want one, then you don't have to have one!

I'm gonna be wearing a veil, a cathedral one. But that's just my personal preference. I liked how the veil looked and felt.

I've seen several brides not wear one on accident/"accident" and they looked beautiful. Only my sister said she regretted not wearing one. I'm probably going to wear one.

I wore one and loved it. Kind of a one-time opportunity. I took it off for the reception though.

I was on the fence until about 90 seconds before pictures started. I bought one that looked good with my dress, but didn't make the final decision until the last second. Then I surprised myself by keeping it on the entire night.

Do what feels right for you. No one can tell you how to look or feel bridal (although goodness knows they try) so be comfortable on the big day!

I was adamant about not wearing a veil. Then..

I tried one on with my wedding dress at the salon, and it completed the look. It make me look BRIDAL. Before the veil, I was a girl in a beautiful dress. So now, I've converted to Team Veil.

I'm not wearing one! I don't like the idea of it or the tradition of it being over my face when I walk down the aisle (what the hell is that even about??) Instead I'm going to be wearing a subtle flower crown. Smiley smile

I am leaning towards no.. but then I see photos and it makes me want to say yes. I guess it will depend on my dress style.

@Kelsey at no point did my veil cover my face. Not all veils include or are worn as blushers.

I'm not doing a veil. I wore one for my first wedding, but that was a much more traditional bridal look with a lace trumpet gown. It was windy that day, and the veil kept pulling out my updo, so I took it out immediately after the ceremony.

This time I've opted for a hair chain that matches the art deco style of my dress. It's similar to the photo but I don't think the exact one. I plan on wearing my hair half up.
