Anyone Postponing a 3rd Time?

Brianna, on January 31, 2021 at 9:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
My fiance and I just officially canceled our wedding. Sadly we don't want to postpone a 3rd time. We are both tired of rescheduling a bunch of times and we don't want to pay for more change the date cards. We'll start looking at venues again when everything blows over. We're moving to Nevada the end of this year so the wedding will either be in Vegas or San Diego which will be nice.
Anyone else in the same boat?

We will be making the call for our August wedding in May. If we can't have it, we will be canceling and maybe doing a five year thing we already eloped in the backyard but had nothing. No dress, no family, nothing

Thankfully we only had to cancel once but decided if it happened again that we would elope the stress is not worth it

We moved our original may 2021 wedding to October 2021 last May. We’re moving forward with a minimony and reception sometime late 2022/2023 because things don’t look great most places right now and especially in CA right now

No. Only once from October 2020 to October 2021. Months ago, I purchased new change-the-date cards but still haven’t sent them. For now, we’ll wait until April and make a decision. But, it’s not worth it for us to postpone a second time. So, if it comes to that, we’ll simply elope on our wedding date. Then for our 1-year anniversary, we’ll have a vow renewal celebration (either with our current destination wedding plans.. or local new plans. But, whether it’s for our wedding or for our anniversary celebration, we’ll still get to have a celebration with our guests. So, I’m cool with whatever happens.😊

Our original wedding was September 2020, but ended up just getting legally married. Our wedding is now supposed to be May 2021 and we are going forward even if it's small. I can't deal with the stress any longer.
