Anyone send their invite out to someone famous? Did you get any returns?

I sent one to Joan Rivers, and one to the Kardashians.... Iam getting married at vegas, maybe they are on vacation at vegas the day of my wedding

If you send one to the president it is usually auto penned (a machine signs his name, but it is an exact recreation of his signature) We are hoping that Obama wins again, since my FH is very political and very democrat and he's not really fond of Romney. If he doesn't we may have to see who we would send it to to invite the Obama's anyway.

Yes, but the one we invited to my daughters wedding (a 70's rock star) is a family friend, so that is cheating. LOL!

We're looking for Mark Wahlberg's address, we actually bought the house that he grew up in, so we are hoping that the return address will catch his attention, if it actually gets to him! But we aren't sending out invites for another couple months, so I'll keep ya posted

I know that you are all doing this under the impression that you'll just get a sweet "thank you but no thank you" note, but wouldn't it be amazing if one of the famous people you invite really did show up? I would probably completely flip out! lol

I've already figured out how the Obama's could do it on short notice. Being an election year and in November, I'm guessing he'll be stumping around the country. Hopefully in CA . Our location has a perfect landing spot for Marine1...and the roads in are easy enough to block with SS for a bit while he attends.

I'm going to send invites to the Obamas and the "Mouses", because I know we'll get the standard responses from them and I think they're a neat keepsake! And we're taking a shot and hoping for an autograph from Conan, Hillary Clinton and Martha Stewart. I think of those, Conan is the most likely to randomly show up, in which case we would both freak out! We love him.

Wow, am I the only one who knows nothing about this? never heard of it. Can someone explain to me how this works? you just send a wedding invite to a celeb or president and you might get something back, where do you even find the address's for the people you want to send one to? very cool idea

That's so funny! I never thought of this. I wonder how many wedding invites the president gets over the course of a year. Probably thousands.

I sent one to the President and his wife, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Cinderalla and Prince Charming... I love all three of the couples, but I have always wanted a fairytale which FH has made come true so Cinderalla and Prince Charming need to complete the other fairytale and send my response back LOL

Ok, this is such a cool idea! I will send invites to Mickey and Minnie, and then the lead singer of my favorite band - Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. Wouldn't that be hysterical?
