Anyone showing off their tattoos?

Michelle, on February 4, 2021 at 1:35 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 28
I would never hide them because they're part of me. I've also attended weddings where the bride and/or groom were tattooed with them on display and even the most conservative guests never said a word.

Initially i was planning to cover them because my mother is overbearing about my tattoos in general and especially for my wedding she was ULTRA unbearable about it but in the end i decided not to because they are mine and they are a part of me and it is MY day.

i definitely had to hear it from her ON my wedding day about it but at the end of the day i am happy about my decision

I am but not because of other people’s opinions. It was a personal preference because I tried on one dress that had mesh on my sides and my tattoo goes from my upper waist to the middle of my thigh. The dress was beautiful but with my tattoo popping out it looked funny. Then again it’s a snake with its tongue out and flowers lol. On any other day I have zero problem having it pop out! I say go for it if it looks cohesive with your dress

I didn’t fully cover my tattoos, but worse a dress that did not draw attention to them. I initially wanted them fully covered but didn’t love any long sleeved dresses. You barely saw mine, but they are visible in some pictures/angles.

I small a few small tattoos here and there (foot, back, neck, side). Plan on leaving them as is.

I am covered in tattoos and would never imagine covering them up. First it's another thing to add to my plate. Figure out what tattoo cover up is best, then hoping it doesn't get all over my dress or my fiancé tux. Second having to worry about how it's going to look especially in photos. My dad used to be a limo driver and said that it looked horrible when bridesmaids or brides covered tattoos, he said you could definitely tell something is covered up and that the tattoo showing would have been much better looking. Yes that is a couple of years back and makeup has come along way. But I myself still wouldn't trust covering them and then looking back at photos to see that you can tell I'm caked in make up. Plus my tattoos are apart of me and who I am, if people attending my wedding or anyone else for that matter doesn't like it well idgaf what they think anyways. I got tattoos for myself and nobody else.

I only have 3, the one on my arm is atrocious (got it done as a teenager in a friends bedroom by his sister who had a tattoo gun) it's "you are my sunshine" in my moms hand writing, I'm hoping to have it redone before the wedding cause I definitely want a sleeveless dress and it just looks bad. The one on my back is my grandfathers handwriting (his nickname Poppy, taken from the last birthday card he gave me with cherry blossoms underlining it) if I get a dress that shows it, it stays showing, if not then it doesn't. I would never cover it intentionally, it's like he's with me always.

The 3rd is on my ribs, and most likely wont show in the dress I end up getting, the only part that would possibly show is the very top of the lettering I have.

I have 3 tattoos 2 small wrist and ankle and 1 big on my arm. I do plan on covering my big tattoo and possibly my wrist one. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my tattoos and I love showing them off! I just feel like it won't compliment my dress and vise versa. I was planning on getting another arm tattoo but I've decided not to for that reason til after the wedding. It's really personal preference! If you think they look good with ur dress then show them off if not get them covered for the day!

I have a small one on my shoulder. I didn’t necessarily leave it uncovered. It just so happened to be.
My sister and my husbands groomsman also had showing tattoos. We didn’t hear any inappropriate comments

I have three, two of which will be visible. One is on my foot, so it's not going to be super obvious unless you pointedly look under my dress, and the one on my shoulder is partially covered by the illusion mesh on my dress. FH has a bunch of tattoos that will be visible if he rolls his sleeves up--I love his tattoos, though, so I don't mind in the least.

I plan on letting all my arm and shoulder tattoos show because they’re a part of me. I don’t wish to pay extra to hide something I already spent money on 😂

I have quite a few small sized tattoos I do not plan on covering any of them up. I have a tattoo going straight down the center of my spine from my mid back to right above my tail bone and I actually want to get a dress with an open back or deep plunging back so that my tattoo can be seen.

I wanted to, I have some really nice art on my legs, I was planning to wear a tea length dress, but I fell in love with a full length one, so I chose that over showing off tats.

I have a whole back piece a memorial for my parents. My dress is a low back and I have short hair. I love my tattoos its who I am so why not. I've always done me, my father hated them and I'm sure he is looking down not expecting anything different.

My wrist tattoos will be visible for sure. The ankle tattoos are only being covered because I love cowboy boots and will be wearing them for my wedding. Whether or not the egret on the side of my left thigh shows depends on the dress. It goes down to the top of my knee, so if my dress has a slit on that side or is a bit shorter than knee length it'll probably peek out a bit. I'm definitely not intentionally hiding anything though.

Mine are placed in a way they can be covered for work reasons. Otherwise I’d probably cover them just for the day
