Anyone walking down the aisle to instrumental songs?

Hi, Everyone!

I’m sure this has already been discussed, but is anyone walking down the aisle to an instrumental song rather than one with lyrics? The reason I’m asking is because I’m really struggling with a song to pick and I love the calm and happy sound of the song “The Journey” by Sol Rising. The song’s title is appropriate as our marriage will symbolize the Journey that my fiancé and I will be starting together. Anyways, I just wanted to find out if anyone else is going the instrumental direction instead of a more traditional song choice!

I've actually only ever been to weddings where the processional is instrumental music only, either traditional classical music or instrumental versions of more contemporary songs. Definitely not weird at all to have instrumental music!

I am walking to an instrumental version of my favorite video game theme. Also the bridal party is walking to an orchestral version of the theme park to jurassic park

Yes, both myself and bridal party walked down to instrumental music. Our recessional however had lyrics which was a request my husband made.

I've only ever heard instrumental music for entrances. Go for it if it's a song you like!

Me too! it is a surprise to my FH that I am walking sown the aisle to a version of a song from our favourite video game soundtrack. He plays it on guitar often, and it is definitely sentimental to us!

Zelda's Lullaby from The Legend of Zelda. Our song to play after you may kiss the bride, is Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time! Our ceremony seating, cocktail, and dinner music is just loads of our favorite video games and movie soundtracks! Our wedding is full blown nerdy

At our wedding, the ceremony music was entirely instrumental - all on piano. My actual entrance song was a song that is entirely and originally instrumental (not Canon in D), though the rest of the songs were originally songs with lyrics that were adapted.
We're doing a very short processional for our vow renewal, and our entrance together is going to be an instrumental version of our first dance song.

My fiance and I will be walking down the aisle together to an instrumental song! We're still trying to figure out which one specifically though. Our wedding party will most likely walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. For walking down the aisle, I personally prefer instrumental music instead of songs with lyrics.

I'm walking down the aisle to the title theme music from my favorite video game series (Tomb Raider). It's all instrumental, and I'm using the version from the 2nd game which has some really pretty violin bits in it. The bridal party is walking down to the them music from another video game series (Uncharted) which is also instrumental. So heck yes! I love that your song choice has a personal significance for you as well!

Omg! I love both of those games!! I miss the OG Tomb Raider games, the new ones aren’t as good as the originals! - side note there lol! But I remember the classic theme songs, especially TR 2! Love it! Uncharted is another great choice, the 4th one was soooooo good. ☺️☺️☺️

Intro to reception is “flaming red hair” from lord of the rings, and we are going to play a bunch of movie/video game songs from skyrim, lord of the rings, narnia, hand of fate 2

We're looking at doing instrumental tracks for our wedding ceremony. We're both nerds, so I picked a track from one of his favorite things, "Love Theme" from The Dark Crystal, for the processional for the bridal party. For the bride processional I picked the orchestral version of the Kingdom Hearts 3 theme, "Chikai," a song that - especially in Japanese - is all about marrying the person you love.
