Just adding apple cider vinegar to your diet is not going to make you lose weight. The only way to lose weight is to be in a caloric deficit.

This is puzzling to me. What about apple cider vinegar would make you lose weight?

Kelly is right on track, the only way to lose weight is to be calorie deficit through exercise and changing the way you eat.

Also, losing weight fast is, in general, not healthy. The recommended weight to lose in a week is 1-2 lbs. It's not worth developing bad habits or potentially killing your metabolism for one day.

I'm confused, I know apple cider vinegar is supposed to help your immune system and keep a person healthy. You can add this, but exercise and eating healthy as stated above are the best ways to lose weight.

I should have rephrased it... So long story short I have Lupus and therefore the medications make me bloated, like super bloated. Therefore someone told me Apple Cider Vinegar helps you de-bloat, therefore lose weight. I do watch what I eat, I cut out fast foods and fried foods, but I was looking towards Apple Cider Vinegar to help with that...

Yes, apple cider vinegar along with a change in diet will help. Acv helps with your metabolism. It will speed it up a bit. Do 2 tbsp acv in an 8oz glass of water in the morning and before bed, IF IT WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR HEALTH CONDITION (I am not a doctor) but I use acv for my joint pain as well as weight loss. Also, seink 1 cup green tea in the morning with no sugar :]

I've heard about this, and I'm not a fan. My fiance tried it one time, and had the worst heartburn he has ever had and was throwing up for like 30 minutes. I think the claimed benefit of ACV helping with weight loss is that you get fuller quicker, so you eat less. So not eating as much and doing portion control would help in the same way.

I’ve never heard of it helping with bloating. But people make a lot of health claims about ACV that aren’t backed by science or studies on humans. I don’t think it would hurt to try but I wouldn’t count on it making a significant difference. I think upping water intake and lowering sodium is one of the only ways to help decrease bloat.

I have an inflammatory condition and began keto 2 months ago. I’m down 19 lbs (a lot for me since I was already just a size 8/10) and my plantars fasciitis has not given me trouble in at least a month.

First off, that stuff is disgusting. Don't do that to yourself. Find a local health and wellness center in your area that performs Colon Hydrotherapy (Colon Cleanse) A lot of them have introductory pricing for first timers. You'd be surprised as to how much that waste we walk around with. I've gotten nothing but good results from having one. Within 2 days I was literally 7 pounds down. It was like a restart button for my insides. Thank me later. Smiley heart

You need to look into the specifics.
I hate the bachelor but go follow Krystal on Instagram. She’s a fitness trainer and is always talking about the ACV cleanse
incorporates ACV, warm water and cayenne pepper into a drink you have in the morning before you eat then before bed. It revs the metabolism and in conjunction with a better diet and exercise shows results

My grandma swore by ACV as do a lot of elderly people (I work as a nurse in geriatric population.)
For bloat id look at your diet and probiotics.
i get horrifically bloated when I have dairy or white bread type starches. I’d look at cutting out dairy and simple starches, and anything that causes GI bloat. Get a good probiotic with multiple strains to help your gut be in balance. High fiber diet.
I have wanted to do the ACV because my grandma used it successfully for many years off and on for weight loss and her arthritis and Parkinson disease. Hard to say if it helped with the PD and arthritis but it did seem to help her shed lbs faster. And elderly folks swear it helps with arthritis. All I know is that all the old remedies that science has said we’re whack are all of a sudden making a come back and science is finding validity in them they didn’t see before.
i get too bad of heartburn with it and can’t stand the taste. My grandma mixed 1 tbsp with honey and warm water every morning on an empty stomach.
